The food is fantastic. If you ask me where I want to go for breakfast, it’s here and I’m probably getting the Country Eggs Benedict. The jalapeno cornbread is to die for.

It’s small and can get crowded on the weekends but the food is worth it.

You get your moneys worth in food. Homemade home fries and not the frozen kind. Good sausage and toast. Only downside for me personally is that you get bottled soda instead of fountain drinks.

What can I say ,I love that feeling like you just walked into your grandparents house for breakfast. Everyone was so welcoming. The food was delicious and oh my goodness the pancakes were HUGE. Definitely don’t skip out on this breakfast place.

This one was on my short list for acclaimed Pittsburgh area diners that I hadn’t gotten to try. I don’t often get a chance to have breakfast out because of my work schedule, and when I do, it’s usually Mondays, when David’s Diner is closed. So when I got a random Thursday off with my family, I knew a I had to give it a shot- and I wasn’t disappointed.

David’s Diner is a small place off of Freeport in Springdale, and you get a feel even before you walk in the door that this place has a lot of history and local appeal. The dining room is small, but not unexpected or two tiny to handle a decent sized crowd. While we were there, they turned tables quickly and consistently. The staff was pleasant and attentive and thoughtful.

They are known for their very large pancakes, and the whole family got some iteration of them. These are serious cakes- not only big, but also extremely toothsome and thick. Not in a way that makes them any less tasty, just know even eating one with any breakfast side takes a good bit of hunger.

We also got three different meats among us, and all three tasted fresh and definitely not like the cookie cutter Sysco sides so many places utilize. My side of ham was thick and flavorful, one of the better breakfast hams I’ve had in the area. And the prices overall were quite fair, especially for the amount of food everyone had on their plate, which included some leftovers for all four of us.

Overall, this Diner lives up to the area hype, combining enjoyable food at nice prices in a pleasant atmosphere accented by a nice and caring staff. Definitely worth a go if you’re around the Springdale area when they are open.

It was my first time at this diner and I loved it! Delicious food, very generous portions, great prices, and friendly and attentive staff. As soon as they approach your table, they asked if you are anyone is a service member, veteran, or first responder because they give discounts for them. I have a lot of respect for this place and definitely will be back!

David’s Diner is one of those hidden gems. A place you drive by but don’t realize just what you’re missing. They have the best corned beef hash that I have ever had in my entire life. It’s ruined me for ever eating it anywhere else. The pancakes are bigger than your head. I love the food here, and the service has always been amazing. They also offer a discount for veterans, which this veteran appreciates! Seriously though, try the corn beef hash! It’s phenomenal! And they gave me a flower on Mother’s Day. So sweet.

What a great place! Loved when we sat down the waitress asked if I was a veteran or a first responder and offered a discount if I was. The food was so good. The pancakes were huge and everything was cooked to order perfectly. The waitresses were very attentive and I’m glad I finally made it into this place to check it out. It was a first date as well and it made it that much better!

Well well this is pretty much out my destination especially coming from monroville area but I gotta admit it was well worth the drive. Not a very big diner but the service was excellent. Never heard of Springdale nor I just wanted good breakfast even tho we were only 2 black people in diner no one gave us bad vibe.. We all know how it can be.. All waitress treated us kind we weren’t neglected at any service. Keep up good work. I’ll definitely go back again oh those eggs and potatoes are phenomenal!!!! The only thing I didn’t really care for is the sausage patties everyone make them different but I ate it anyhow my butt was hungry ..
