If you want some good Dominican food in Yonkers you definitely need to come here. Tastes just like my grandmas cooking and that’s hard to find. The staff is super sweet, the place is clean & the food is fresh.

This morning I observed a serious food safety violation that is completely unacceptable. The employee behind the counter used the same set of tongs to handle a fish and egg dish, then immediately used those same tongs to grab sautéed onions, and afterward used them again to handle pork, without any cleaning or glove change in between. This is a clear case of cross-contamination and presents a severe health risk, especially to individuals with food allergies. If I had a shellfish or seafood allergy, this could have resulted in a medical emergency. Situations like this demonstrate a complete lack of basic food safety awareness.
This matter should be taken seriously. I strongly suggest the owner review the surveillance footage to confirm exactly what occurred. This type of negligence is unacceptable and, frankly, is the kind of violation that gets establishments shut down.

I’ve been to this Dominican restaurant a few times because it’s close to my workplace, but every time I leave disappointed. Today I bought a simple chicken dish for $16, and honestly, it tasted like anything but chicken. Bland, poorly prepared, and completely flavorless.
The service is slow, the prices are higher than any other Dominican spot in the area, and the food quality just doesn’t match the cost. This is not the first bad experience I’ve had here.

I ordered the Dominican breakfast and it was a total disappointment.
First and foremost, the food lacked flavor. A dish that should have been rich and aromatic was instead bland and watery, with no salt or pepper. Additionally, the prices listed on the menu did not match what was charged.
Communication also proved to be a challenge. None of the staff appeared to speak or understand English, which made it difficult to ask questions or clarify anything about the menu or the bill. While I understand and respect language differences, in a customer-facing role — especially one in a diverse city — some basic communication is important for a smooth dining experience.
Overall, I wouldn’t return or recommend this spot.

The food tastes delicious!! They care about the customer. I had ordered from DoorDash. They called me to make sure that I received what I ordered and wanted. Everything is made from scratch. The fried plantains, the black beans,the white rice, the pernil, and even the crusty bottom when you cook rice tastes phenomenal!
