Such a yummy bakery. We got a chocolate muffin and a chocolate walnut brownie fresh out of the oven. The brownie was amazing. The baker was nice and offered us a wet towel to wash the kid’s hands. My son still is talking about going to the star bakery. Was so yummy forgot to get a picture of the food.

Their food is fantastic and reasonably priced. My family and I stopped here to eat after walking through the ghost towns. We had two dogs with us and assumed we’d have to eat outside on the grass, but they have a charming outdoor seating space with a covered patio. This made it so much easier to eat and have our dogs with us. The inside is nice and clean and the food in the bakery looked delicious. Our waitress was spectacular and got us every little thing we asked for and was happy to do so. Overall, the Star Cafe was very accommodating and a fun place to eat at with the whole family.

I really liked this place. I have had a lot is small town meals this week and this one was the best. It might sound weird but the food seemed cleaner, and more fresh. I think the kitchen was cleaner than most small town cafes, there was less grease/salt added and the ingredients were good quality. We had breakfast that was served promptly so we could make the next train to VC.

We are on a cross country round trip between WI and ID. While staying in Virginia City we stopped in at The Star restaurant in its sister city of Nevada City. The food was ridiculously AMAZING!! I had the chicken and waffles with huckleberry syrup. The chicken was perfect and the waffles were to die for. The Star also has literally some of THE BEST waitstaff I’ve ever had. All I can say is you have to go!
