I ordered a gyro combo with extra tzatziki sauce. The meat was very tasty, the veggies real fresh and the sauce was great. Nice hot fries as well. The young lady working the counter delivered the food to my table. I did appreciate her checking back with me to see if everything was satisfactory. I would eat there again.

The food is always delicious!!! You can’t go wrong with the lamb gyro and truffle fries. The lamb chops are amazing as well. I’m always coming back to Wilmington NC best Greek food restaurant.

Pretty sure greek food is my all time favorite, and this place sealed the deal. I had the Greek Burger and it was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go there again. The staff was great and helpful, atmosphere was clean and relaxed. Go try it!

I’m 52 and this was definitely in my top three worst food orders I’ve ever experienced. I never feel this strongly about leaving a negative review but we DoorDashed almost $100 worth of food this evening and 99% remains untouched as we head to Taco Bell.

The gyro meat was dry, hard like jerky, such that my daughter BROKE HER TOOTH biting into it. Anything cooked in oil tasted & smelled rancid. The pita’s were stale and hard, snapped in half like a cracker. The tabuleh, which I was so excited for, was sour, overpowered with lemon & had the acidic, off taste of something that had aged to the point of fermentation. Baklava is honey & heaven so I was sure it would be the saving grace. No. It’ tasted scorched and burnt.

The falafel….smh, lived up to its reputation. It’s so awful that it can’t escape criticism even in the positive reviews for The Greek. Cold, mushy patties of what tastes like unflavored cold oatmeal and dirty oil.

I see plenty of good reviews, but many recent ones that mimic my experience. It’s a shame when quality drops so quickly. I grew up in an ethnically diverse neighborhood & this is NOT the lively; flavorful Mediterranean food I desperately hoped it would be. Once my daughter’s tooth is examined by her dentist I may hand deliver this mess back to the establishment with her bill. Appalling.

We first ate at their downtown location about 2010 and have been eating at The Greeks ever since. The only Greek restaurant that I know of that still cooks their gyro meat on a vertical rotisserie instead of out of the box. Very friendly staff! Huge portions. We drive from Leland to eat here it’s so good!

The portions were good. The place was clean. The cashier was nice. Everything was fresh, hot or cold as it should be. The food was served quickly. The prices were in line with other restaurants in the area.
The falafel should be labeled differently, maybe Greek falafel? It is not light and fluffy soaked chickpeas. It is more like fried hummus balls with a little onion and parsley and tasted greasy. If you are strict vegan, it is fried in same oil as chicken, which they do tell you if you ask. The tomato was fresh and the pita was thick, fluffy and warm. There was a good amount of hummus on the falafel pita. Their online menu mentions you can get tzatziki (regular or vegan on it, but they do not have vegan tzatziki. The dolmas did taste homemade. You get a side of 4 for $3.99.
The gyro meat was ok. The gyro platter was half lettuce, tomato salad, dressed well with dry feta crumbles and 4 strips of meat, a few fries which were hot and crispy, and pita bread.
The metal tables and chairs made it even colder inside and weren’t really comfortable. The Greek music was nice, not too loud.
My husband, who is Greek, said hello in Greek to the owner. He said it back, but never came out to see how our food was, so I would say not extremely friendly, compared to other Greek restaurants we have been to. They were not overly busy. We ate at around 2:00 pm.

My husband and I had lunch here recently. I had been to the original location on Oleander with several friends over a year ago.

Order at the counter and a server will bring the food to you.

My husband had the Greek burger, which came with fries. I had a bite of the burger. It was so tasty!

I had the Greek gyro bowl. It came with some hummus. I didn’t realize it came with rice at the bottom. It was very good.

Decent portions and reasonable prices.

We’ll return here to try some of their other items on the menu. All the food photos I see on Facebook look wonderful.

I do wish they would open another restaurant in Leland. They were supposed open sometime in 2024. I hope they will open one in Leland.

Did carry out and was impressed with the way the staff greeted me and took care of my order. A smile and a thank you goes a long way. Gyro was excellent, split one with my wife and it was perfect. Fries were good and the truffle sauce was a great addition. Will be back. Keep up the good work.

First time here for lunch. My husband had a small Greek salad with 2 skewers of chicken and a side of Spanikopeta. I had a Spanikopeta platter which had a Greek salad & pita bread. I added a skewer of chicken.
All the flavors were delish. I had to ask them to heat up the Spanikopeta as it was cool in the middle which they did with a smile!
Made the flavor of the pie explode. Excellent!

We will be back! Service with a smile!
