Ordered from here for the first time with my coworker. I eat a lot of sushi, so I was excited to try somewhere new. However, the sushi I received was awful. I ordered the scallop and mackerel sashimi as I usually do from sushi spots, and both looked and smelled like they were off. I don’t know how they thought serving fish like this is acceptable, because they are very obviously not great quality pieces of sushi. The mackerel looked dry and flaky but was somehow also wet, and the scallop was discolored around the outsides and smelled of ammonia. Like I said I eat sushi often, so I know what these fish are supposed to look and smell like. Very disappointed, had to throw them out.

I recently visited Asian Bistro and had mixed feelings about my experience. I ordered the Tom Yum Gong, but it was surprisingly bland and lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. The Lobster Avocado Roll was a highlight–definitely good and enjoyable. However, the Kung Bo from the Red China dish didn’t impress and felt a bit average. While the atmosphere was nice, I found the prices a bit steep for what I received. Overall, I was hoping for more from a place that claims to offer authentic Asian cuisine, so I may think twice before returning.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I’d say it’s one of the better Asian food places close to me. So this past Friday I ventured back. There’s plenty of parking and me going about 6:30 PM there were plenty of open tables. Started out with a Thai soup (sorry, don’t remember the exact name, but it was really good.) I’ve always loved the cold sesame noodles here, and had those with extra sauce. The flavor was superb, but the thick noodles were a bit gummy. Nevertheless, I can’t complain much as I finished the entire bowl. My entree was a Kung Poa chicken/shrimp combo with brown rice and it was fantastic! I ordered many bowls of hot chili oil to use with all my dishes. Love it spicey!!
Anyway, all in all, with my Arny Palmer martini and the hot Sake, it was a glorious meal, and I will not hesitate to come back here again and again.

I have fond memories of Asian bistro. I remember how fresh the food tasted and always felt great after. Unfortunately that’s no longer the case. The sesame chicken was mostly batter and I got that awful feeling one gets when eating to much grease.
The sushi used to be fantastic and now was mostly rice.
Such a shame.

Absolutely loved this sushi place! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every bite melted in my mouth. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The ambiance was cozy and clean—perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. I highly recommend trying their signature rolls and sashimi. Will definitely be coming back!

My 3 year old loves his Philly roll, Eel roll, and kani salad. I love that the waiter remembers all the details to my son’s order. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good.

I have been ordering from another Stamford Asian restaurant for 20 years. Tried Asiana because I needed a change. A great decision as Asiana is fantastic. It’s freshly made food of high quality and taste.
So I ordered takeout a third time hoping for an equally good dining experience and could not have been more disappointed. The Sesame Chicken was dry and barely edible. It was either left over from lunch or the previous day. I’m beginning to think there is no good Chinese food in Stamford.

Asiana Bistro offers pretty solid Chinese takeout for the Stamford area. The food is consistently tasty, with generous portions and a variety of options. The dishes are flavorful, and the classic favorites like General Tso’s chicken and beef with broccoli are always well-prepared. While it’s not the most extravagant, it’s reliable and a great go-to when you’re craving comfort food. Quick service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for takeout.
