I’m really not a fish person except for sashimi and I rarely eat anything deep fried, but I got wind of Ameen Fish & Wings which recently opened in Snellville, and is less than 10min. from my home so I had to check them out. Parking no problem with a large parking lot with drive thru if not interested in dining inside. The inside is also quite large with plenty of nicely spaced tables. The restaurant has an “A” health code rating and was extremely clean both inside and out. Mohammad is the very pleasant and friendly gentleman who took my order for 2 piece whiting & 3 shrimp with sides of coleslaw and fried okra. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The 2 pieces of whiting were of a nice size and cooked perfectly. The shrimp were plump and not overly battered. The coleslaw and fried okra were also good. Nothing had that “cooked in old oil” smell or taste so I could really taste the individual flavor of each fried item. The food could have used a tad bit more salt but that didn’t take away from the food being delicious. My food was prepared quickly and it was still warm when I go home, so I was really pleased with this meal. It was worth price paid and is a restaurant that I’d enjoy returning to.

Ameen Fish and Wings offers the best fish and wings I’ve tasted, hands down. Their service is consistently excellent, and the location is super convenient. They have a wide variety of menu options, and I try something new almost every time I visit. No matter what I order, the flavor never disappoints.
The restaurant itself is spacious and airy, making it a comfortable place to sit and eat. For added convenience, they also offer a drive-thru, which is perfect when you’re on the go. Highly recommended!

Don’t let it fool you from the roadside, they are open & have good food & quick service. I believe they are better option for fried or grilled food, than Captain D down the road. Staff is friendly, food is cooked to order & flavorful. Fried food is crispy & not super greasy like other places & grilled options are good also. Hush puppies are crispy outside with flavorful inside. Chicken options are halal.

I’ve been going to Ameen’s since it opened. I was so happy that they finally put a fast food fish spot in the area. The fish is really good they, and they have great prices. Just make sure you call ahead if you don’t want to wait, or can’t wait because they make everything to order. I highly recommend this spot the fish is amazing!! I always get the trout dinner. I be so surprised it’s not busy

First time going and it definitely will not be my last. This is officially my new go to fish and chicken spot. The whole fried chicken wings were seasoned to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. The catfish was clean and delicious, and the swai was cooked just right, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fried okra was fresh and not greasy, and the onion rings were golden and tasty.

Everything was made fresh to order, and you can truly taste the difference. The whiting was on the thinner side, but to each their own. It was still well seasoned and cooked nicely.

You really cannot beat the value either. A three wing combo with two pieces of whiting, fries, a hush puppy, and a drink for 13.99 is more than fair.

Customer service was great. Friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment I walked in.

Ordered 2 piece whiting/3 piece shrimp, okra and salad. Everything was great. The shrimp was the standout, something about that crust. It was so good I almost went back in to get a few more pieces. The whiting was good, better than most I have tasted but not the best I have ever had. However the price, which was reasonable, was a plus. Okra was cooked well. The crust was crunchy but not overly so and the okra was thoroughly cooked. I’ve had fried okra sometimes that is hard on the inside where you can’t chew it, much less swallow. I hate that. I didn’t have that issue here. Peach/lemonade mix was tasty too. The inside was clean and it didn’t take long for my order, which was prepared fresh. For those who eat halal, I asked and was told the chicken wings are halal. Employee/manager were very nice too.

Great start for this new business that just opened days ago. I would definitely recommend.

Pass by this place a couple of times on deliveries and decided Saturday was the day. I believe it was the owner that took my order, and if you read this, the coleslaw IS good, lol. I had the whiting combo, and the fish was seasoned right, along with the fries and hushpuppies. I enjoyed my meal.

I recently had the chance to try Ameen Fish & Wings, and I must say, despite a few small issues, the experience was largely positive—especially when it comes to the food. This place is somewhat of a hidden gem. It’s not flashy from the outside, and the dining room is pretty simple, but if you’re coming here for quality seafood, you’re in the right spot.

To start, we ordered both the grilled fish and the fried fish. The grilled fish, in particular, really impressed me. It was cooked perfectly—flaky, tender, and bursting with flavor. The seasoning was bold without being overpowering, and it had just the right amount of char. It’s not often that a grilled fish dish sticks in my mind, but this one absolutely did. If you enjoy a healthier option that doesn’t sacrifice taste, the grilled fish here is a must-try.

The fried fish was also very good. It had a crispy, golden batter that wasn’t too greasy or heavy. You could tell it had been fried in fresh oil, and the texture was spot on. Often with fried fish, you either get too much batter or fish that’s dried out on the inside—this was neither. It was well-balanced and satisfying.

For sides, I had the onion rings and the red beans and rice. The onion rings were just right—crispy, hot, and made with real onions (not the minced filler kind). As for the red beans and rice, it was a bit of a surprise. Instead of the traditional white rice typically used in this dish, they used yellow rice. At first, I wasn’t sure what to think of it, but after a few bites, I found that it actually worked really well. The flavor of the rice was slightly buttery and aromatic, and it paired nicely with the beans. It may not be what purists expect, but it’s a creative twist that shows some personality in the kitchen.

The only real downside of our visit was the indoor temperature. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t running while we were there, and it made the dining area quite uncomfortable. It was hot and stuffy, enough that we decided to take our food to go instead of eating in. That was a bit disappointing, as I would have liked to enjoy the full dine-in experience. Whether the A/C was broken or simply not turned on, it definitely detracted from the overall visit. A comfortable dining environment is just as important as good food, especially in the summer heat.

That said, I would absolutely come back to Ameen Fish & Wings. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The staff was friendly, and service was efficient. If they can address the air conditioning issue and improve the dine-in comfort, this place could easily earn a full five stars. If you’re in the area and craving seafood that’s a cut above the usual fried fare, I highly recommend giving Ameen a try.

Me, my husband and my dog went back twice on the day before Thanksgiving. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. It was just the right amount of food for the money you spent. My favorite was fried whiting fish dinner with baked beans and red beans and rice. My husband’s favorite was whole wing and fish dinner with potato salad and baked beans. The second time we went we got the grilled fish with grilled jumbo shrimp. The shrimp was tasty but I will order fried for the fish next time. Overall 10/10 recommend! We are so happy to finally have some good food in the area!
