If you’re looking for awesome BBQ, friendly faces and reasonable prices, you need to check this spot out! I got a little bit of everything on their menu, but I’ve got to say their brisket and ribs were my fave. Also,I’m not a fan of turkey breast but their smoked turkey was definitely on point. If you’re driving to Tahoe or in the area, be sure to check this spot out!!

After hearing about this place all summer I finally found the time to give it a try, boy do I wish I didn’t wait so long. Ordered the ribs, brisket, along with their corn, beans and banana pudding. The brisket and ribs were amazing. Brisket had a great bark and smoke ring along with out of this world flavor! The ribs were cooked to perfection. Beans and corn complimented the meats. The banana pudding was a nice sweet treat to finish off the whole meal. I can not recommend this place enough! The sauce is tangy and after moving from tx to here last year this place punches way above their weight and is right there with the big guys in tx. We need to support them to ensure they are here forever!

This new barbeque place in Grass Valley is incredible!!! We tried the ribs, brisket, chicken and pulled pork. Everything was great, very high quality!! The brisket, ribs and pulled pork are the best that I’ve ever had, so juicy and flavorful!!! The chicken is very good too. The owners are such nice people, I’m definitely going back soon. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Made a detour on a road trip specifically for MAK’s BBQ. And we’re sooo glad we did. Top to bottom fantastic BBQ and fantastic people. Highly recommend this hidden gem! Wish we lived closer to make this a weekly dinner spot.

Yums! I didn’t think I was a fan of smoked meat, but MAK’S does it juuuuust right! His meats are loaded with flavor, tender, and crave-worthy. I strongly encourage you to pre-order by Wednesday night – get a couple of meat delights plus beans & corn!
