Deep Blue Food Truck is one of those laid-back Perdido Key spots that’s easy to miss but totally worth stopping for. It’s a side-of-the-road food truck with a good amount of seating (w tables), a relaxed vibe, and great food — not a seafood restaurant, just a cool local place that does it right. I really liked the simplicity of it all and It definitely worked for me… loved it!
The menu provides a great choice of options including fish, shrimp, burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches and more. I ordered the fish basket (mahi-mahi) with fries and coleslaw and was really impressed. Perfectly prepared light and crispy fried fish, hot fries, tasty slaw, and really good tartar sauce. I keep hearing the fish tacos are very, very good — that’s next on my list. One of the coolest things they offer is the “Catch n Cook,” where you bring your cleaned fish and they’ll cook it up for you.
If you’re near Johnson Beach or even just passing through Perdido Key, it’s right by the roundabout about a quarter mile outside of Johnson Beach entrance. Definitely worth pulling over and checking out. And if you’re not just passing by, it’s definitely worth the drive, just check hours to make sure they’re open. Looking forward to my next visit!!!

Spent the morning riding around on bikes when we stopped for a bite to eat at Deep Blue. The food was delicious and came out hot and fresh. Wonderful service and great pricing! I would definitely come back here on my next vacation! It’s a cute little spot along the riding trails near the beach. I love it!

Locally sourced and operated what more could you ask for? My wife and I grabbed the Mahi fish tacos. She got the grilled blackened with Hush puppies and I got the grilled with cheese sticks.
Truly of our experience here and from prior trips these have been and are the best fish tacos we both have ever had. We will make it a point to come back whenever we are local again.

Took our Hook and cook fish over and they cooked it perfect. Husband enjoyed conch fritters. The fish was cooked 1/2 blackened and 1/2 fried and was amazing. Thanks to our Captain Gavin for suggesting this place.

Delicious! Got takeout blackened grouper and fried oysters with a spicy marg. Would highly recommend. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Margarita was amazing and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend if you’re driving too or from the beach. Perfect place to grab lunch.

Wow! Had a blackened Mahi Sandwich with the pasta salad. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection! Hubby had an Oyster Po Boy & pasta salad. If you’re anywhere near this food truck, STOP and eat! You’re taste buds will thank you! There are a few tables to eat at.

Had the blackened mahi mahi sandwich special with the fresh kale pasta salad today. Taste amazing. Great view near beach with outside patio seating and even live music at night. Best prices on island for seafood!
