Open Since 1969. Renovated and relaunched as a Steak House and Sushi Bar(Summer) serving the best steaks and seafood. Owned by Southampton Local Joseph DeCristofaro, the Old Stove Pub is considered one of the best restaurants in the Hamptons since 2022. Delicious food, good service and a beautiful outdoors setting!
The owner is there always making sure that everything is taken care!
And the live music was great, not too loud, so we had a nice conversation over it.

The food was good but it took forever to come out. We ordered an appetizer of a salad and a zucchini curls and it took half an hour to come out. There were maybe 3 tables in the restaurant when we were there so I thought the food (or at least the appetizers) would come out quickly. The other thing I wasn’t super happy about is the misleading “pub night” menu for Thursdays. It says items are $12 but the burger was $19. That’s still not a bad price for a good burger, but just advertise that. The website is not clear about it. Our waitress was perfectly nice. The overall experience just left something to be desired.

Nice covered outdoor seating. Food came out very quick. Thought that the grilled octopus and crab cake apps were great, flank steak ordered medium and was done exactly right. Portions could be a tad larger, fried Brussels sprouts could use some flavor, and there should be more side options (particularly non-potato options), but enjoyed all the food and service was spot on. Had the cucumber sakitini cocktail, which was a bit too tart. Will definitely go back.

Dinner on our anniversary was excellent. Attentive service, perfect Hamptons setting. Wife ordered branzino she said was best she’s ever had. I went for filet mignon that was perfectly poseasoned and cooked exactly as requested- medium rare. Manager surprised us with an on-the-house dessert (neither requested or expected). Couldn’t be better! (Hamptons traffic was expectedly slow, but the experience was well worth it.

As someone who has been coming here every summer for a good meal and drink before going out…..something is off . New management? I’m not sure. But it’s not right. I came early for a reservation and still had to wait at least 20 minutes after the reservation time….and mind you the place was dead. Insane. The food came out colder than a corpse. The portion size of the food…? Fisher Price meals. Almost $300 for a “meal” that should cost $10. The dirty martinis were probably the best part of this. Does salt exist in this restaurant? The answer is no! Everything absolutely tasteless. I’m extremely disappointed and most likely won’t be returning.

Overpriced and mediocre food. The best things on the menu are the saganaki and flash fried zucchini spirals. The bathroom is ridiculously undersized and messy. Additionally, they allow dogs inside the restaurant. The handicap ramp into the building is too steep to be consisted ADA compliant.

My family and I were sat at a corner table on the patio. Servers were constantly passing our table to folder napkins/cutlery behind the hedges next to us. Additionally guests had to squeeze past our table to get to additional seating behind the building, interrupting dinner multiple times. Shortly after we sat, A live artist started playing music loudly less than 20 feet away.
The oysters they served were filthy and room temperature. Quite literally almost every oyster had sand/sludge in it. The enjoyable dishes we had were the chicken and salmon with lentils.

As someone who has worked was a waitress for 10 years across multiple high end restaurants – it is insane to add $2 to a margarita for a salted rim. And if you’re going to, at least let people know it’s an up charge. It’s the principal. Waiter was great, very sweet. Prices were kind of ridiculous
