When even corporate ghosts you, it’s time to hang up the loyalty. Marco’s, this was the day you officially lost a loyal customer.
After giving this place multiple chances, I’m finally done. Three bad experiences is more than enough, and this last one sealed the deal. I ordered two pizzas and cheesy bread, waited far longer than the quoted time, and still didn’t get what I paid for. They gave me the wrong sauce for the cheesy bread and forgot two sauces that were supposed to come with my pizzas.
When I got home and called to get it resolved, the employee heard me out and then just placed me on hold, no “please hold,” no courtesy, nothing. The manager got on the phone, offered a “credit” for sauces that were already free, and acted like she couldn’t care less. When I said I’d contact corporate instead, she told me to go ahead and gave me the website before hanging up so hard it hurt my ear.
Let’s be clear, that’s not customer service, that’s straight disrespect.
I reached out to corporate hoping they’d redeem the situation, and guess what? Crickets. Not a single response. No email. No apology. Nothing. At this point, it’s not even about the pizza anymore, it’s about principle.
I’ve supported this brand for a long time, but when a company repeatedly delivers bad service and then ignores customer complaints, it says everything about how little they value their customers.
So here it is, my final slice of honesty. I’ll be filing a BBB complaint, and this review will stay up as a reminder that good food means nothing if the service behind it leaves a bad taste.
Do better, Marco’s. Because you just lost someone who actually wanted to stay loyal.

Outstanding pizza chicken, bacon, brushed crust. The staff was super sweet and made a fresh salad. It’s mostly take out so you order at the counter. Doug, Kayvan, Daphne, Darriuna, Erica I wrote down there names- it’s really great to be greeted by a crew of people that did great!

Usually I don’t have any issues out of any Marco’s but this particular incident really blew me. I ordered a pizzoli and an italian chef salad to be delivered. Now I usually don’t do salads from a pizza place, but I have ordered a salad from this location before and it was perfect. The ingredients were fresh and it really had me looking forward to my next one. Boy was I disappointed. When my order was delivered, my pizzoli was fine, but my salad was NOT up to par. The lettuce was not as fresh, I was missing toppings, AND toppings that were supposed to be cut up were just thrown on my salad. I called the location and asked to speak to the manager. Lola informed me that she was the manager and that she made my pizzoli but the delivery driver made my salad.. I thought that was odd, but maybe they were short staffed. I understand him helping out, but didn’t understand no one checking to make sure it was correct. She then told me she could remake my salad, and have the driver bring it to me, but it would be “up to him if he wants to bring it out or not”… Soo not only did he mess up the order, but he gets to decide if it’s gonna be made right by redelivering – meanwhile, I’m the one paying for the order.. After a brief hold, Lola comes back and tells me that he’s agreed to redeliver and that she’ll be remaking my salad. I told her thank you and the call ended. I wasn’t told how long it would take, but within 15 minutes, the delivery driver showed up with the new salad. My initial response of being impressed, quickly turned when the driver proceeded to argue with me about why my salad was made incorrectly. He was holding my receipt up in my face and trying to explain that the toppings I added were the only toppings showing on the ticket.. All the original toppings were still wanted and he put half of the original toppings on the salad, so it wasn’t helping his case nor was him coming to argue with me appreciated. Not to say I’ll never order from Marco’s again, but it might be a while before I do again because this experience was RIDICULOUS!

I have previously posted here because I visit Phenix City frequently and have highly recommended the location on Crosswind. Tonight I was taken aback by a young man (or not) named Jay, who spoke to me so rudely, for simply asking if my pizza would actually arrive. It had been a long day and I hadn’t eaten. Not his problem or anyone else, I was simply looking for an honest answer since I was told my pizza had left the building over a half hour prior. I was staying less than a mile away. This was also after 1.5hr after the original order. He began yelling and speaking in a demeaning tone as he informed me he was secure in his job and he would not give me his managers name and claimed to be the manager. I did offer him some advice. If a third party delivery service messed up and he received a few phone calls from them, which was his justification for talking to me in a more than derogatory way, mind you, I did not speak to him disparagingly at any point, he may want to rethink working in customer service. I meant that. He kept repeating that he received 100 calls about my pizza and “thats it, this is it, its on its way and thats all you need to know.” I asked why he was so angry with me and why he felt it necessary to talk to me like that. He doubled down. He received too many calls from Doordash and me. This was my second call and it was over a 1.5hr period. I was never disgruntled. I simply wanted to know what the situation was so I would know if I needed to make other dinner plans. I don’t get upset when things dont happen to plan. I just adjust and move forward.
Enter Adrian who delivered the pizza. He apologized for the mix up and explained that the Doordash rep took orders and delivered them to the wrong people etc. This is all Jay had to say to me. I can’t account for Doordash. Im the customer, though. I didn’t do anything but order a pizza. U do feel bad that 3rd party service ended up with Adrian’s tip. Ill jave to drop one by.
I understand things happen and I would have been understanding had Jay not treated me so poorly. Nothing justifies the way the gentlemen (or lack thereof) spoke to me. I found out Jay isnt even a manager and a manager named Jeanette, sent her apologies and wasnt going to charge me for the pizza. I hooe Jay was not behaving this way under her watch. Everything starts with the head. Adrian was very nice. That’s what I’m used to when I order from this location. It doesn’t shock me that their review score has gone way down since my last visit and order from here. If people are encountering someone who loses it when asked what the situation is with the delivery of food they paid for and had been waiting for over an hour, they shouldn’t be qorjing with people at all.
The pizza was excellent, but honestly, the way a person treats me sticks. I will probably no longer recommend this location nor order from it. If I sent any business partner here and they were treated the same way, I’d be mortified.
The anger in his voice was insane. I can’t imagine how this company allows someone in their employ to behave like this.

Staff is rude. Never been treated so bad trying to order a pizza. Would not take cash for order. I will not be going here again.

I decided to eat here even after reading a long list of bad reviews and I ended up waiting about 20 extra minutes for a pizza that was actually ready when I arrived. Unfortunately, I got home and had to pop my pizza in the microwave! The staff was nice, but they owe me!
