Today I visited a new Mexican restaurant called Ola Mexican Kitchen in Long Beach California on 2nd & PCH across from the marina. It’s was such a beautiful sunny day 80 degrees outside perfect The restaurant aromas were smelling wonderful as we walked upstairs to the entrance. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside with views of the ocean and lovely boats in the marina. We got seat with views great views of the water and people enjoying themselves. Our waitress Daniella was friendly and delightful with a smile. Daniella had great suggestions for the food and drinks. We shared some yummy Elote Man Corn – Sautéed corn off the cob topped with cotija cheese and lime aioli delicious I had an IPA and my friend enjoyed a Margarita called El Dragón – It had
Watermelon, Jalapeño Hornitos blanco tequila – watermelon purée – sweet ‘n sour – fresh jalapeño so refreshing. We shared a plate of Refried Black Beans with Spanish Rice yummy. I enjoy Posole
Traditional homemade carnitas soup, with all the fixings so delicious! Jeri enjoyed Enchiladas Con Queso with Fresh tortilla, three cheese blend, homemade guajillo pepper sauce, and queso fresco it was so good. The fresh made Chips and Salsa they serve are so delicious, we ate two baskets. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and it’s great for a date night, hanging out with friends or family or for a party. So many good selections on the menu we will definitely be back there again soon. Thank you for great hospitality and customer service which our waitress Daniella should be applauded for her hospitality!!! This place is amazing.

Ola is one of our favorites – great food, service, and atmosphere. We particularly enjoy the chips & salsa, guacamole, tacos (carne asada and Baja fish in particular), and margaritas (Michoacán in particular). Danny is a fantastic waiter, highly recommend requesting him if you stop in. Kaitlyn is also excellent. The patio has nice views of the sunset and water, and has heaters in the winter. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a vibey Mexican date night!

Me and my friends come here every once in a while and Ola’s never disappoints! The staff are super friendly, listen well, the food and drinks are very very delicious and the decor inside is casual yet beautiful. There is seating outside that is towards the interior of the shopping center, as well as outdoor seating that allows you to look out over the boats, and water. In my opinion the Steak Nachos are the BEST! But my friends have also gotten their tacos, and their burritos. The burritos are HUGE! Well worth the money in taste, as well as portion.

My experience at Ola was excellent, including the ambiance, vibe, scenery, food, and service. The entire staff was friendly. Angela was our server, and she was terrific! Very kind and attentive and made us feel comfortable. I reunited with a good friend I hadn’t seen in a few years, and we had a deep conversation throughout the evening. Sometimes, servers can check in too often and interrupt key moments or too little, but Angela was very good at reading the room and knowing when to check in or when to give us time. I appreciate that attention to detail and level of excellence. My experience with Angela as our waitress tonight brightened up my day. I highly recommend Angela!

The amount if meat in the taco plate was amazing, but it lacked the same amount of toppings. The reason the atmosphere was only 4 stars was because the afternoon sunlight was blinding on the west facing patio.

Beautiful spot to enjoy the sunset! The food is delicious but it is a little pricey for what you get. Service was great! $31 for my salad

For a few years now, I’ve noticed how packed and popular this restaurant has been. I could always hear the noise and chatter coming from their balcony, so naturally, I was curious to try this place. The service was good and so was the food. You have the traditional staples, burritos, tacos and such. But I went with something different this time. Steam clams, watermelon/beer salad, seafood stew. I highly recommend the salad, maybe with shrimp as protein (I had mine plain). The clams were a bit too salty. The stew was very good, with large chunks of lobster…think Mexican cioppino. The desserts were excellent as well. Flan and churros recommended. Overall, I’d return. The combo of food and ambiance equals a solid dining experience.

Just had an amazing early dinner at Ola in Long Beach, and wow, it did not disappoint! We ordered the Baja Fish Taco, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. Paired with their deliciously Chille Releno , it made for the ideal casual meal. We even got Churros on the house. The vibe was relaxed, the service friendly, the view breathtaking and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend Ola if you’re in the mood for great tacos and chilled drinks!

Been here a few times already. Nachos are great! Enough for two people. Chicken taquitos are underrated and the quesadilla is good as well. My mother got the Shrimp a La Diabla and she loved it. A bit spicy as well. She also loved the Acapulco style ceviche and wanted more. Outdoor eating area is recommended especially for a date around sunset.
