Favorite sushi spot as a vegetarian!

They have a variety of vegetarian/vegan rolls & hot dishes to choose from. My favorite dish is the hibachi vegetables (pictured below) with white rice. It’s so flavorful and they give such a generous portion. I also love getting the avocado cucumber rolls, peanut avocado rolls, their udon stir fry with vegetables & the vegetable fried rice (fried rice comes with egg so just let your server know if you don’t eat eggs). They’re always so accommodating.

Highly recommend for vegetarians or anyone looking for flavorful fresh food!

Truly one of my favorite sushi spots in Fairfield county! Everything is always soo fresh and the flavors unlike any other. My favorite go to’s here are: The Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, the Chicken Fried Rice, any of the Taco Nori’s and the pork gyoza and wagyu beef dumplings are addicting
I come with family and friends all the time and they love it! Drinks also amazing and so unique!
Pro tip: try your crispy rice with a side of spicy mayo and wasabi mayo- chefs kiss.
A must try!!!

Best sushi in Fairfield County! Freshness, quality and selection of seafood can’t be beat! Creative menu offerings. Large sake selection.
Professional, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Chef Jerry and team are highly skilled and innovative. Bartenders Gabrielle and Mallory are friendly and nice.
Tip #1: Weekday and weekend dinner hours are super busy. Make a reservation, table or bar.
Tip #2: Go and sit at the bar in the afternoon when they’re less busy and you might be party to one of the chef’s off-menu creations!
Tip #3: Order a large bottle of sake and ask to be served in the glass sake dispenser. You can also choose your own sake cup.

Made a reservation days in advance to dine here on NYE and wish we had skipped. Upon arrival it was utter chaos with UberEats drivers filling up the rotunda to get into the restaurant. We check in a few minutes early and wait for our table. We then see the hostess, asking every party in front of us, whose reservations were earlier, if they would sit at the sushi bar as other tables would not be ready for at least 15 to 20 minutes. They ask us the same and we say no problem, we’ll sit at the bar.

Upon being seated, we are at the actual bar, not the sushi bar. We are greeted by the bartenders and then realize we are in a complete splash zone. Drinks are flying everywhere, they are fighting for their lives to eat on top of orders. We were offered comped drinks for giving up our table. I don’t drink, they still offered a comped Diet Coke which was very nice. They also delivered edamame to us, as if it were comped, come to find out it was not our order and they take it away from us. The host said they would bring us one on them, apologizes for the confusion.

We then had to flag the bartenders down (they were literally standing in front of us, but wouldn’t acknowledge that we were waiting to order, menus closed and giving eye contact) so we had to ask to place an order. I asked a question about the difference between two dishes, which I got a run around over and over, but never the answer I was looking for. I saw my server from last time dining here and asked if I could speak to him to ask the question. He was much more attentive and asked if we had any additional questions on the sushi menu as well. We re-order the edamame, and our meal. Edamame never comes out, and my hot food comes out about 20 minutes later. We are told the sushi is coming out in a minute. We then were told that they were extremely slammed and doing their best to get the sushi out. I finish my meal and about 20 minutes goes by and the sushi finally comes out. While we were waiting for the sushi, we watched multiple orders for takeout be prepared prior to people who were dining in the restaurant. They kept “checking in” on us asking how everything was and We repeatedly said we are still waiting on her sushi. At the end of the meal, we were asked if everything was OK and I said honestly no. This is a very expensive restaurant, we understand that it’s New Year’s Eve, but our meal was horrific and we were better off staying home. They did not offer to take anything off the bill, and I had to tell them that this was completely unacceptable service. They kept trying to push alcoholic beverages on us after I had said multiple times that I do not drink. We get our bill and the sushi is taken off, but the “complementary” Drinks were still on the bill. I told them that the hostess offered comped drinks (we watched her tell them this, and soda too!) for giving up our original table and sitting at the bar. They then adjust our bill, and still left the soda on. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle. We were so fed up that we just paid so we could get out of there. On the way out he hands me (the one who said multiple times that I don’t drink) a bottle of sake “on them” as if it were an apology… every table received one. Needless to say, it will be hard to justify coming back here. The food is good, but not worth the hassle.

The food was pretty good, thought the size were disappointing. I pent 18$ for what on the digital menu seemed like a good 18 rolls. 30 minutes later, I got literally 6 rolls. We also order a shrimp tempura roll for 12$ and got 5 of them! Together it was 30$, for 10 rolls. The only good thing was the fried rice. The only thing that is actually good. When we asked a employee she said that was the size we ordered. Complete rip-off on the digital menu. Really should improve the quality of the digital menu, and tell us the real quantity of what you are ordering.

I stopped in here on a whim while running errands and was SO pleasantly surprised by the lunch special. 3 rolls and the best ginger dressing salad I have ever had for $18! Service was quick and kind and my food was fresh and delicious. I would absolutely return.

This was my second time here and both times left impressed. Food was excellent both times, which is most important. But the service was also very good, not too quick to get you in and out, but also not too slow. I don’t like to be rushed, but also need someone to check and make sure you have what you need. Will continue to go back and recommend assuming they keep up this level or food quality and service. Thank you.

This sushi restaurant left a great impression on me! The interior is clean and cozy, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The sushi is made with fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the chef’s craftsmanship in every bite. Besides sushi, other dishes are also delicious and authentic. What surprised me the most is the price—it’s very affordable and offers great value for money. Whether you’re dining with friends or enjoying a meal alone, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

We came to Sushi Jin on a Saturday night, and while it was definitely busy, the wait was completely worth it.

We ordered the regular omakase, which included 10 pieces of premium sushi—each one fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. One of the standout dishes was the Toro Tartare with caviar which was rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced. Another surprise hit was the Pork Soup Dumplings. It was delicious, but just a heads-up: it’s filled with hot broth, so take that first bite carefully!

The service was decent, especially considering the crowd, and the food came out at a great pace. Overall, an amazing dining experience with great food that made the busy atmosphere feel well worth it. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes on the menu.
