The VFW Post 8956 is an Awesome group of Veterans who have honorably served our great nation in foreign wars, and now faithfully serve the veterans and citizens of Ocean Shores. We are committed to taking care of our veterans and the citizens of our town. The camaraderie is strong and the organization professional. Veterans of Foreign Wars are welcomed and encouraged to join and participate in making our town a refuge for all veterans and citizens. Spouses and dependents can also join the Auxillary, as they too do a great service.

The Ocean Shores VFW Post, Washington District 5, is a very nice Post. Very large meeting room which includes a military museum. The Auxiliary also has a separate meeting space. Its fairly easy to find off Point Brown Rd, close to the end, on Trent. There are signs. No bar, no restaurant; no issues. I hear the membership is very involved in the local community. If you served on a foreign conflict at any time, live in Ocean Shores, I would recommend checking them out and becoming a member of the VFW!

Great place for VFW visitors and members. Staff are the friendliest in town. Their absolutely MASSIVE pancakes served for breakfast are truly an experience in itself!
