This is the second time I’ve been here. Once again the food was very delicious. I got the fish and chips. I love their “chips”. My friends got the steak bites and they said they were very delicious also. They have a pretty extensive menu. You could get burgers, sandwiches, Steak, walleye, etc. A pretty good variety of dinner entrees. I can’t wait to go back and try other stuff. It’s a sports bar and it’s uniquely decorated. I love the booths with the penalty box doors on them. They also have a great kids menu too.

This is a hidden gem in Mankato! Talk about an owner with community pride and spirit 🙂 We brought our adaptive dance program here for a little “pre competition” celebration. The owner met the families at the door, combined tables, made a big fuss over all of the dancers, including giving them all adorable leis that lit up! thanks for making our group feel welcomed and included!! Our food and drinks were great too 🙂

So disappointed. We ordered two deep fried items and one burger. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and the restaurant less than 1/2 full with many tables around us already eating. When our food finally did arrive two of the three orders were wrong, one was supposed to be a veggie burger but came as a beef burger. We didn’t have the time to wait another 45 minutes for it to be remade. Two of the three orders had cold wedge fries that had turned hard. The fish pieces from our fish and chips dinner were also not edible with cold and slimy centers. In the end we spent $50 (after the hamburger was removed) for some nacho chips and corn dog bites, everything else was a complete waste.

There is no reason why this place should be dead on a Friday night the food was absolutely amazing . I got the chicken sandwich and it had the best hand dipped chicken breast tenders I have ever had . The wife got the chicken Caesar and man was it fresh but the show stopper was the mac and cheese homemade cheese sauce was perfect Hat off to the chef ! If I was a local or moving here I would be there at least once a week! Thanks for the great food .

Maverick’s is absolutely amazing. I went looking for a nice sports bar and a good burger, but found much more. The food was extraordinary, but the atmosphere and people made the experience second to none. I had a wonderful conversation with Shelly, who I learned owns the restaurant, and she is one of the kindest and most genuine people I have met. This wonderful attitude clearly carries over into her staff and the other patrons as everyone was genuinely kind and having an amazing time. Fans of the Minnesota State Mavericks will love the theme of the restaurant, but I, a traveler who is a fan of a rival team, am living proof that all are welcomed with open arms and kindness. Thanks for a great experience and an amazing burger! I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m in the area.
