When I heard that Coldstone was bringing back the lemon dream sundae I wasn’t sure it would be as good as the original. But when I walked into coldstone today and smelled the fresh lemon bars baking in the oven I just had to get one. At $6 it’s kind of expensive but it was so delicious that it was worth every penny.

Service is good, portion size is small for the price. For 5 ice creams our total was over $70. Our dinner wasn’t even that much a couple miles down the road.

Great nice quite place to stop when traveling thru 29 Palms from Mojave, Joshua, or Palm Springs,. Four shops in one location: Ice Cream, Smoothie, Chocolate, and a gift shop. And a Clean Bathroom for customers. Not a Micky D’s and glad it wasn’t.

Stopped by for an ice cream after a hike in the park with my girlfriend and we were both pretty disappointed. There was only one employee in the whole store when we arrived and we waited probably 5-10 minutes for him to handle to-go orders. When he made our ice creams, he didn’t put a lot of care into putting the right amount of toppings in, and we both thought the ice cream was a little bland and melted quickly. The seating area was a little off-putting, weird table arrangement and sterile silence in the store, so we opted to eat in our car. The spoons were also incredibly small and flimsy which was the nail in the coffin for us. Definitely had higher expectations for a Cold Stone.

Writing a new review since Google doesn’t allow us to comment after the owner makes their remarks on our reviews. I understand rising labor and how hard it is to run a business, I have three small businesses. Having one worker is absolutely insane when your line is at the door and four delivery drivers are waiting on pick ups and your employee didn’t even start those yet. You want to mention delivery which is hilarious because I’m a delivery driver and every single time, it’s a disaster here. I’m not the only person who feels this way. Hiring more people. Plain and simple. Figure it out. Maybe change locations to lower your lease overhead. This is the same business owner who refused to get Air Conditioning for their employees and one guy quit and pretty sure he reported it to corporate/OSHA because weeks later, they installed AC units on the roof. I was told by that employee the owner refuses to get ACs. It’s 115 outside and you operate a cream shop which was all over 80+ degrees last summer. It’s fixed now but that says everything. Maybe sub-lease the gift shop section if it’s not profitable and get another corporate entity to help with the lease.

Sept 2022:First time visiting. Enroute to take my kids to the McDonald’s Nextdoor & my kiddos wanted to stop by cold stone 1st. I’m not a big fan but I allowed it just to have them look around & feed their eyes. I was actually very pleased with the cleanliness & how organized the store was. While the kids checked out their ice cream flavors I walked around & found cute souvenirs for sale behind where the chairs are. Looking forward to coming back, sitting down for ice cream & buying a souvenir or 2.
