All of the cookies we tried were delicious! The Solana Beach Himalayan pink salt and mixed chocolate chunk cookies were my favorite, and the house-made specialty hot cocoa with toasted marshmallow and cookie topper was not just a feast for the eyes. Their house-made marshmallows are salty and light and toasted by hand. The vanilla bean whipped cream topping set off the hot cocoa and was creamy and rich. The cocoa is a milder flavor than some of the ultra-dark ones I’ve had, which complimented the cookies without being overly heavy.
We will definitely be back to try out their ice cream at some point! 10/10
They were out of couple of cookies. Triple fudge, trifecta, toffee. Which I mostly wanted to go for them. It happens I understand. And I was totally okay with it and thought I would go again.
1- Cookies are very small for the price, I paid 23$ for 6 little cookies, 1 free okay but they’re so tiny. I get crumble cookie for same price or batch&box which are huge and very good cookie companies.
2-They did not taste great, it’s just average. Something about flour or something, something missing.
3- I wanted salted Carmel one and she had it there but instead of putting them in a box as I’m telling which one I want it, she wrote them to a paper ( I was like why she is not just putting them in a box already), and ended up not putting right cookies in the box. I wanted salted Carmel one and it was not there, so frustrating.
So I thought I would go there again to try trifecta and others but no thank you.
Again I’m very grateful for her hospitality and I understand it was a hard day for her probably, but I just wouldn’t prefer this place again.
We stopped in because my son wanted a cookie while we were already nearby at Marshalls. Honestly we would have been better off grabbing a cookie from the Panera close by. This was our first time visiting and the experience was awful from the moment we walked in.
The woman working was extremely rude. Since it was our first visit we were looking at the options which were very limited. We initially ordered two cookies and she asked if we wanted them warmed. I said yes and then clarified that we were actually only getting one cookie but still wanted it warmed. I also asked a simple question about whether they offered smaller sized cookies. Some cookie shops do so it felt like a reasonable question. She reacted very strangely and rudely saying nooooo this is all we have with a hostile tone and attitude.
When she handed me the cookie I noticed it was not warmed at all and mentioned it. She rolled her eyes and said it just came out of the oven. It was not even warm. As I was walking out I told her she was very rude. Her response was okay so. I explained again that she should not treat customers that way especially first time customers. She then said she did not care and claimed she was a billionaire with three other businesses as if that justified being rude.
At that point I asked for a refund because I no longer wanted to support the business and she refused. Completely unacceptable behavior. With the way customers are treated it is no surprise the place is always empty.
To make matters worse the cookie itself tasted like cardboard. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone.
