Cute little shop nestled in the shopping center right off of the 5 south, ideal for if you’re needing a pick-me-up after holiday shopping.

All of the cookies we tried were delicious! The Solana Beach Himalayan pink salt and mixed chocolate chunk cookies were my favorite, and the house-made specialty hot cocoa with toasted marshmallow and cookie topper was not just a feast for the eyes. Their house-made marshmallows are salty and light and toasted by hand. The vanilla bean whipped cream topping set off the hot cocoa and was creamy and rich. The cocoa is a milder flavor than some of the ultra-dark ones I’ve had, which complimented the cookies without being overly heavy.

We will definitely be back to try out their ice cream at some point! 10/10

The viral hot chocolate. Was NOT disappointed. Not too sweet. The marshmallow fluff and the hot chocolate combine perfectly. I tried their s’mores cookie and the scarlet letter cookie. The s’mores cookie was delicious. The scarlet letter cookie changed my life. It’s something else.

So cute and yummy. Got a free spoon in honor of national hot chocolate day! You can tell everything is homemade with love, it’s a little pricey, but I think the staff and experience made it worth it. Definitely give it a try if you have a sweet tooth.☕️

I wasn’t gonna write a bad review but when I realized she didn’t put a cookie I especially wanted, I decided to share my experience. She is so sweet, I think she is owner, she told that her employe suddenly left for Mexico. She chatted and looked very nice welcoming and offered me some samples.

They were out of couple of cookies. Triple fudge, trifecta, toffee. Which I mostly wanted to go for them. It happens I understand. And I was totally okay with it and thought I would go again.

1- Cookies are very small for the price, I paid 23$ for 6 little cookies, 1 free okay but they’re so tiny. I get crumble cookie for same price or batch&box which are huge and very good cookie companies.

2-They did not taste great, it’s just average. Something about flour or something, something missing.

3- I wanted salted Carmel one and she had it there but instead of putting them in a box as I’m telling which one I want it, she wrote them to a paper ( I was like why she is not just putting them in a box already), and ended up not putting right cookies in the box. I wanted salted Carmel one and it was not there, so frustrating.

So I thought I would go there again to try trifecta and others but no thank you.

Again I’m very grateful for her hospitality and I understand it was a hard day for her probably, but I just wouldn’t prefer this place again.

Absolutely delicious ! You must try the Scarlet Letter as the other reviews suggest it is life changing. The fresh raspberry makes that cookie so unique. We also tried the trifecta and lemon meringue both were fantastic. We love that they’re made with clean ingredients so even our little guy got to enjoy a bite! We met the owner there and she was so nice and friendly! 🙂

I came for the hot chocolate and stayed for the cookies. The viral s’mores hot chocolate definitely lives up to the hype. It’s not just a viral hot chocolate it’s an experience. Rich dark hot chocolate (not too sweet). The most delicious marshmallow and salted butter cream foam. Then it’s topped with a dark chocolate cookie and they also have a rasberry garnish. The best part is that you can definitely share. Definitely worth the price.

The cookie was amazing. The ice cream scoop was great as well. The fancy hot cocoa was good but too big for my wife. I would split it next time. They don’t have a public restroom.

OMG these are the best cookies ever. The staff and owner are amazing. Super friendly. I didn’t get a tummy ache from the cookies like I do with other brands. You can taste the pure ingredients that they are made with. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you.

I had such a disappointing experience at Solana Sumptuous Cookie in Solana Beach and felt compelled to share.

We stopped in because my son wanted a cookie while we were already nearby at Marshalls. Honestly we would have been better off grabbing a cookie from the Panera close by. This was our first time visiting and the experience was awful from the moment we walked in.

The woman working was extremely rude. Since it was our first visit we were looking at the options which were very limited. We initially ordered two cookies and she asked if we wanted them warmed. I said yes and then clarified that we were actually only getting one cookie but still wanted it warmed. I also asked a simple question about whether they offered smaller sized cookies. Some cookie shops do so it felt like a reasonable question. She reacted very strangely and rudely saying nooooo this is all we have with a hostile tone and attitude.

When she handed me the cookie I noticed it was not warmed at all and mentioned it. She rolled her eyes and said it just came out of the oven. It was not even warm. As I was walking out I told her she was very rude. Her response was okay so. I explained again that she should not treat customers that way especially first time customers. She then said she did not care and claimed she was a billionaire with three other businesses as if that justified being rude.

At that point I asked for a refund because I no longer wanted to support the business and she refused. Completely unacceptable behavior. With the way customers are treated it is no surprise the place is always empty.

To make matters worse the cookie itself tasted like cardboard. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone.
