This aesthetics in here are SO CUTE! The earthy tones and the art on the wall bring everything together. Our waitress was so sweet and helped give great recommendations. The pizza was so good and the toppings were all so fresh and delicious, BUT THE CHICKEN TENDERS! The breading is all made in house and the buffalo sauce is homemade and I wish I had it bottled up the flavor was so good! I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Stumbled upon this once for HH. Zack our bartender gave us exceptional service! We got our salad and burger split but the burger was so good, we ordered 2 ! Just sitting at the bar, we can see our burger meat was freshly prepared. The Cesar dressing was in house made. This place is known for pizza and rotisserie chicken, and will definitely come back to try those.

The Chicken pot pie was good. The chicken Parmigiana, I prefer the chicken breast where I can taste it. This one was so flat that I could only taste the crust and cheese. The side pasta was great..

We normally do not go out on Valentine’s Day, especially on a Saturday night! However, it had truly been a day and we decided to try our luck by going to Dough Bird on Lovers Lane for the first time. My wife is celiac and the thought of getting good, gluten-free pizza is always an attractive option.
We walked in close to 5:30pm to immediately see the host team all dressed to match, smiling and when the lead host ( I was in for a surprise! ) asked me if I had a reservation, I replied no and was preparing for quite the wait on a stand by list. However, the “host” told me that we could get sat because there had been a cancellation and we were seated immediately. I simply could not believe my good fortune.
Our server was Nevaeh ( Heaven spelled backwards. I loved how she told that story and the stories about other names in her family. ) Nevaeh was professional, polite and genuinely interested when I mentioned that my wife was indeed celiac, as well as, allergic to red onions. I ordered the Steak Frites and my wife chose the sausage and mushroom pizza and added pepperoni.
The food came out and despite Nevaeh making a notation for no red onions, there was a miscommunication somewhere and the pizza ended up with red onions. We were able to get ahold of Karen and she took the pizza back to the kitchen and told us she would get the correct one ordered. Stuff happens and in dealing with particular food allergies, it can be even more challenging.
After a few minutes, Seth brought us out the correct pizza. It looked wonderful and he commented that he had also comped it off the bill. I was not asking for that action and had no problem in paying for it. He claimed that it was the kitchen’s fault and he would indeed take care of it.
Then I mentioned how well Nevaeh’s service had been, how nice it was of Karen to take direct care of the problem and then I asked who was the “tall and lead host”. I was certainly surprised when he commented that was actually the GM of the restaurant – Shadia. As I said, I was in for a surprise!
I actually got to spend a few minutes with Shadia and I must say — Dough Bird should be proud and happy to have such an exceptional example of management in Shadia. Her team likes her, everyone was doing their job correctly, the service was wonderful and the food was excellent. I live 30 minutes away from the restaurant; however, I will be back. Yes, the food was good, but more than anything, it will be because of Shadia and the wonderful staff!

Visited this restaurant with a few friends. We got a pizza to share and I tried their chicken strips. My friends also got the ingredient salad and a pasta entree. Everything was super tasty and our server was extremely attentive. Would come back if I’m in the Dallas area.

The pizza was great. The crust wasn’t too thin or thick; it was just right, and the tomato sauce was delicious.
My only critique is that the average customer acts as if they have never seen a brown-eyed individual before. I didn’t feel welcome among the other customers, but the staff were friendly, which is fine with me.
However, I recommend it.

Normally a great (but slow) experience ordering delivery from here. This time was more than 45 minutes late. Multiple DoorDash drivers had to swing by but the food wasn’t ready. Ultimately it was delivered but horrific quality. Meat on a vegetarian dish, stale deep dish pizza, random and sporadic sauce application, a kids pizza not even a hungry toddler would touch. They need to figure out their take out / delivery situation…

I was very excited to try this place…but sadly was underwhelmed. The service was the best part, I sat up at the bar and had a great experience with the bartender. She was super knowledgeable and made some menu suggestions-that I acted on. She raved about the rotisserie chicken that they make in house. I got a salad that had the rotisserie chicken on it and was excited to try. It was the Mediterranean salad. I made one modification to the salad, just asked for one item to be removed. Other than that I ordered it the way it came. I also ordered the truffle cheese bread. Which was great. It came out quickly. Unfortunately the salad was a huge letdown. It came with the ingredient I asked to be removed. The lettuce itself was poor quality, all the ingredients as toppings we’re chopped inconsistently and there was no dressing on my salad when it arrived. The rotisserie chicken was alright, good. But not great.
I got my check and paid. After I paid the bartender noticed I didn’t touch the salad-she said that she would call over the manager to take off the salad. I appreciated the effort. They refunded my card and charged me just for my drink + truffle bread.
The aesthetic in the restaurant was beautiful, quiet at lunch time.
The bartender encouraged me to return and try a pizza, that the pizza’s were really their shining moment.

So, the food is good, no amazing. But really solid. The hand stretched pizza dough is not great and leaves you chewing more than you should have to. The Detroit crust is better and has a nice crispy edge. The chicken parm has a decent flavor but the bottom of it looked and tasted burned. The Pot Pie is their best dish. BUT, the service is not great. The couple of times I’ve been there the waitstaff performed as it was their very first day on the job. The place was empty and yet our glasses still went empty and took a while to refill. Not acceptable for the price of this place. The managers need to do more training. This is on them. Not sure that I would go back.
