What a lovely little spot! Kind of tucked away behind the shopping areas, but everything they have looks divine and being a big fan of cannelé, pretty sure this is the best I’ve had in several years. Amazing decaf, too! The cashier was super friendly too. All around excellent spot! Only wish I was closer!

When Bucktooth Mary told me that the Pascàline French Bistro had the best salmon sandwichs in Santa Rosa I didn’t believe her, but her statement hung on me like a heavy weight.
Well, Santa Rosa is only about an hour from Napa, and I had nothing better to do…so I figured what the hell, I’m going to the Pascàline French Bistro to see for myself. I ordered two sandwiches, one of which was the famous salmon sandwich Bucktooth Mary bragged about. Let’s get this straight right off the bat…she was right! The Salmon sandwich was amazing! 5 stars and they didn’t even try! ☆☆☆☆☆

Pascaline is one of those spots you almost miss — it’s hidden in the back, right on the edge of Montgomery Village — but once you find it, it feels like discovering a secret corner of Paris in Santa Rosa. The setting is charming, with a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for a slow brunch or a quiet afternoon bite.
The food here is consistently impressive. The Cobb salad is fresh, perfectly balanced, and hearty enough to be a full meal — not your average café version. The French onion soup is exactly what you’d hope for: rich, savory broth, deeply caramelized onions, and a melted cheesy crouton on top that’s borderline addictive. The croque madame is also a standout — crisp, buttery bread, creamy béchamel, melty cheese, and a perfectly runny egg on top. Comfort food done right.
Their soup of the day is always worth asking about — it rotates regularly, and so far, I haven’t had one that didn’t hit the spot. The “boar in the hole” is another favorite — it’s simple, but done with such care that it feels elevated. My only wish is that it came with a bit more of that delicious croissant pastry they use — it’s so good you’ll want extra. A pinch more salt in the dish wouldn’t hurt either, but that’s minor.

Well, they do have good coffee, coffee is drip and it makes it not as good of a value if you’re not staying. Some advice stay in and have a pot of coffee
Speaking of pastry, their baked goods are where Pascaline really shines. They have a rotating selection that sometimes includes these incredible morning bun-style pastries — flaky, buttery, with just the right amount of sweetness and caramelized crunch. If you see one in the case, grab it before it’s gone.
All in all, Pascaline is a quiet treasure with standout French comfort food and beautiful pastries. Definitely worth the search if you’re anywhere near Montgomery Village.

We stopped into this quaint, tastefully decorated place for breakfasts. Although their lunch menu was not available until 1030am, they had savory options, including frittata, quiche, baked ham & cheese croissant, and pork rolls. Their sweet baked goods were delicious. The gluten free blueberry muffin was wonderful.

Laura, the person behind the counter, and who served us at the table, is so lovely and hard working – she was constantly on the move, serving, cleaning, checking to make sure the bathroom was stocked.

The bathroom is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen in a place like this.

Delicious meal from start to finish. Perfect lunch spot with tasty desserts that aren’t overly sweet. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves European cuisine.

Our bookclub came here for our holiday lunch and had a fantastic time. Room was found for our party of 8 with ease. The servers were all so accommodating & kind.
Each menu item ordered was scrumptious. I loved my salmon sandwich and curry carrot soup. The salad was super fresh with a tasty dressing.
The interior is cozy and charming and the prices are reasonable. The desserts are divine. I will definitely be retuning.

Yes, this salad was $19.00. On the pricey side, but look at it! That’s what a $19.00 salad should look like. On top of that, it was DELICIOUS. Just the right blend of Ingredients placed together or so perfectly.

It’s a nice atmosphere but on the quiet side. May need to park on the street if their lot is full.

Very well executed cafe that mixes elements of West Elm for decor and a French-style cafe with high quality coffee and baked goods. In-door and outdoor seating. Outdoor is dog friendly. Interior is trendy and intimate while outdoor is heated and adjacent to a parking lot. You might need to parking across the street during busy times. Staff and service were quick and friendly.

If you are visiting Santa Rosa, you shouldn’t miss this place! I tried their famous French dip, and it was fantastic! They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. I personally recommend sitting outdoors if the weather allows.
