Eggsellent Cafe has always been a classic since I have moved to Jonesboro. If you’re wanting a hangover cure, you go to Eggsellent Cafe handsdown. This is my first time writing a review on them, and it was also my first time trying one of their omlettes. I ordered their Western omlette, while my friend ordered a skillet with a side of fries and my boyfriend ordered a Spanish omlette with a side of biscuits and gravy. Obviously I am biased, but honestly you have to order the omlettes when you go here. I can’t believe I hadn’t until just recently, because it is by far the best thing on the menu out of everything I have tried. The omlette wasn’t full to the brim of vegetables or ham, but an equal amount so that there wasn’t too much toppings where there was barely enough eggs or making the omlette too heavy where the eggs weren’t cooked all the way through, and that there wasn’t too much egg to the point where the toppings would have been useless. The fries were okay, but obviously you don’t come here for the fries. You come here for the hashbrowns! I wish the hashbrowns would be a little bit more seasoned, but I understand not everyone has the same tastebuds as I, hence why you can salt and pepper them at the table. Speaking of which, my friend has many dietary restrictions, and they were incredibly accommodating! So if you’re gluten free, don’t be shy to come eat here at Eggsellent Cafe!

Nice breakfast/brunch spot located close to Arkansas State University. I have eaten here many times and it has always been good. It can get crowded on the weekends but wait times usually are not too long. There is usually plenty of parking but during peak times, traffic on Caraway can make it a task getting out of the parking lot.
During my last visit, I ordered the corned beef skillet which comes with corned beef hash, eggs, and pancakes or toast and I selected pancakes. They actually used real corned beef and not the canned variety that some establishments use when serving this dish. The food seemed freshly prepared and was served quickly after ordering it. The service has always been good as well as the food. No complaints here and I will return.

Food was delicious, service was excellent, and the prices were right. The portions are generous and all the food was well made and full of flavor. The corned beef hash is fantastic, mine of that mush from a can. The waffle was crispy and the pancakes fluffy. It all arrived pretty quickly. If there is one thing I’d be quick to critique, it’s the decor… Of rather the lack of. The walls are stark white and bare, but I went for breakfast not the art, so I won’t hold it against them. I will definitely be going again!

Hostess had a very bad attitude. Ordered hamburger steak with 2 sides. Hasbrowns are one the choices. I asked for 2 hashbrowns and she said that I could only have 1. I pointed out that it came with 2 sides. Then she replied no substitutions. I explained it’s not a substitution just a duplicate side. She sniped back the computer won’t let her do it and that’s just how it is. WOW GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Here I suppose the customer is never right.

Breakfast at Eggsellent Cafe: I had eggs Benedict with home fries, rated 7/10 (owing to the deli meat ham) 10/10 for the home fries. The food was good and the service was quick. My husband’s country fried steak, hash browns, and pancakes earned a 9/10. We’ll be back.

Cold biscuits and gravy. Husbands chocolate gravy was choked up and out it was so nasty. They did not care or even offer him something else . Sausage burned. Won’t be back.

I got the veggie omelette with hash browns. Soooo good. I cleaned my plate. There was enough there to split.
My husband had the hamburger steak scrambled eggs hash browns AND it came with 2 pancakes. Way to much food, we could have split this as well.

Outstanding! I can only say good things about this cafe. This is my first visit, it was close to where I happened to be, I needed a good solid breakfast, and I took a chance. The waitress was on the ball and got my desperately needed coffee immediately, took our orders and had the food in front of us so fast I was surprised. A simple eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes is not a complicated order but McD isn’t this responsive most of the time. I did not leave hungry because the portions were generous enough. I’ll certainly return some day and I’ll recommend this to anyone pondering on where to have breakfast.

This place was a welcome treat after ten hours of traveling. The strawberry pancakes were fluffy airy and were cooked thoroughly with the perfect slices of fresh strawberries on top to finish out this dish. Strawberries were cut thin and were placed evenly across the plate. The hash browns were simply perfection. Crispy outside soft inside and not overdone to mush. The country chicken and eggs were done well and seasoned to perfection. Absolutely will return for another amazing breakfast!! And don’t forget to grab a sweet tea!! No extra needed it was done exceptionally well!!
