let’s start with the service… they were not busy tonight, but definitely waited… for menu (incomplete, had to get drink menu). someone came to fill out water glasses – not a word. waited for refills. waited for waitress to come and take order, with very little english. food came out in a reasonable amount of time. no one came to check how was the food or if we wanted anything else. waited for someone to give us the check. that was a lot of waiting and we were by no means in a hurry, nor starving.
the food… we got a bread basket with 3 thinly sliced bread – i didnt take a picture coz i thought we would get a refill. we did not get any more bread. appetizer was chips and queso… chips were great! fresh. crispy. right thickness and seasoning imho. the cheese, however, was too thin and runny. i think you can see that in the picture. one plate was pulpo de parillas (i think)… and it came with potatoes. both were ok, as far as tastes. we also ordered t-bone and rib eye – sides are priced extra. brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. brussels sprouts were mostly not cooked. mashed potatoes did not come with any gravy. the steaks… their specialty, were cooked spot on (medium for us) in some parts of the steak. other parts were overdone. other parts were a bit too rare.
for 3 people, the total for dinner was over $200. there was an additional $6 charge for something… i have no idea and dont care, at this point. when we left, the waitress ran after us in the parking lot to say goodbye.
the verdict? i got better attention from mcdonald’s than we did at this place. the food, while presentable, was nothing to write about… so, if you go here, prepare to open your wallet and i hope you have a better experience.
You which is full of typos and spelling errors (which would be fine except that typically menus are the most important part of a restaurant so the oversight is odd). They served sliced sourdough which was underwhelming in visual appeal since it looked like they just sliced a loaf from Publix and served you a few slices. We ordered the corn which was good but portion sizes are tiny for the price and it’s similar to corn anywhere else. We then got brussel sprouts which were barely steamed and thrown on a plate that looked too big for what they were serving. Finally came the $165 tomahawk and let’s just say it was underwhelming. The medium was overcooked and it was truly just robbery for what it was. Save your money. Also, there was plenty of management staff at the location and not once did anyone come ask about our experience or anything of the sort. There are also no blinds to cover the windows so when the sun is shining the place can get pretty warm and there’s no ambiance.
I asked for a refill on my water but then something was floating in it so the young lady took the glass and brought back water in a plastic cup… Soooo I guess they had no more clean water glasses yet was no where near closing time… But hey, they’ve only been open 1 month. I hope they work out the kinks. This restaurant has really good potential.
What did we order, the Del Mar (words can’t express how good this dip is), The chicken Romana salad, t-bonesteaks, and, the house pasta. The food was really good.
The star of the show, of course, was the steak. It was nothing short of perfection. Cooked to absolute precision, each bite was a tantalizing burst of flavor. The quality of the meat was evident, and I could taste the expertise that went into preparing it.
But it wasn’t just the steak that left me impressed. The entire menu at this place is a gastronomic delight. The sides were delectable, and the appetizers were a fantastic prelude to the main event. The wine selection complemented the meal beautifully.
What truly set this steakhouse apart, though, was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they possessed an in-depth knowledge of the menu and wine pairings. They went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was memorable.
The ambiance was another highlight. The cozy yet elegant décor created the perfect setting for a special evening out. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply indulging in a night of culinary delight, this restaurant sets the stage for an unforgettable experience.
