The restaurant aims for Michelin-level cuisine but consistently misses the mark. Desserts and wine list saved the evening.
Appetizers were interesting, but they definitely lacked something what would elevate their flavor to the top level.
Dumplings with foie gras fell apart in a broth reminiscent of stock cubes. Dry chicken resembled something from an airport cafe.
A waiter suggested my friend to drink my wine after me when I refused to drink it.
High ambition without the craft to sustain it.

The place is nicely situated in an old section of the historic center, the hotel is nice and the food was good overall, a few things worth mentioning not to my entire satisfaction:

1) The table cloth was not often clean up, after a couple of courses there were bread crumbles that were not cleaned up before serving the next course

2) the table I was seated on had a headlight that was to shiny and to warm, also my seat ws facing right into the kitchen door so it was a distraction everytime it was being opened/closed

3) the restrooms were far out into the hotel, so this is probably not a big thing, you could stretch your legs and add some steps to your day, however there were not proper indications so could take a while to find them

I did appreciate the curated menu, with lots of ingredients and wine pairing offer from the region, I would come back definitely, but would like to try other places first.

Big shout out to the service overall — we had hit the post-Xmas food wall by the time we were to dine here, so my heart sank when the waiter informed me I had pre-chosen (weeks before!) the holiday set menu. But as soon as the waiter saw my face, he quickly changed tack and said “but we can change that to whatever you feel like”!
We had the vegetarian menu and it was simply fabulous (I stress that I am not vegetarian but rather that the flavours and textures ensured I didn’t miss meat at all). Wine choices were extensive and well recommended.
I would only say that the decor was extremely “hotel” and some design intervention would benefit the atmosphere a lot.

Really enjoyed the degustation menu even though the “Chapon” dish was not at the level. the wine selection was ok but not spectacular: crozes hermitage white is certainly not expected in Alsace. The Pinot Noir was green and certainly not at the level of the restaurant. Opportunity to be more focused on the beautiful regional wine selection digging into some of the local “pépites”. Overall nice experience.

The teracce of the restaurant occupies 2/3 of the pavement. The part left to pedestrians is in very bad condition. Besides the modern but ugly-looking buildings, Strasbourg tourisme lives uniquely on its heritage.

My wife and I each had the tasting menu and it was outstanding. Each dish was very well thought out and I have never had a two Michelin star meal but if this is what it is like I will gladly come back every time. The outstanding dish goes to the turbot with hollandaise, it was greatness. The service was what I would expect from a restaurant of this quality.

Absolutely incredible! We stopped here for lunch, specifically because the view is beautiful. The food blown us away, and the waiter (Ilyass) was a delight.
Do yourself a favor and come here to enjoy a great meal!
