Had the chicken and string bean in garlic sauce.
Chicken was juicy.
Beans were crisp but cooked.
Rice fresh and fluffy.
Solid american Chinese spot!

I was hungry & was in the mood for Chinese food. I went in was greeted right away & gave my order & within 10-15 minutes received it. It was perfect with a very slight negative. Their Spring rolls r delicious, but way too small for the price they were sold for other than that I will definitely be going back, but not for the spring roll.

The food was very good, 4/5 stars. Definitely ordering from here again.

I didn’t stick around long enough to give a rating service or atmosphere.

Good food. Gluten aware. Nice menu selection of Chinese including Thai food. We got Thai food which was very flavorful. Price isn’t cheaper compared to other Chinese American take outs but you can get reasonably priced lunch specials. There are a couple booths and two or three two people tables in a no bells and whistles eating area. It is a busy place and despite that staff is very helpful. They are aware of which food has gluten/Wheat and nuts. Nut substitutions are extra. We’ll be back to try more!

Best Chinese food in Kingston. Seasoned and fried correct, I love this place so much. Get the Szechuan dumpling in hot oil. Ask for things extra spicy. Only place with Thai food in the city. You can taste wok hai in Kingston. Kai’s is the spot!

uh and it’s affordable and the family seems chill. you should order from here 2nite.

I love this restaurant, the good is great and reminds me of the takeout Chinese I grew up with in NYC. Side note: their current credit card discharge notice/policy is completely illegal, to the tune of $500 per violation reported. So far hasn’t bothered me, but someone is going to report the restaurant to the local government sooner or later.

TLDR; if you like salty food and you’re not picky about Chinese food, give it a try.

Staff is attentive for a take out place and friendly. The son/grandson is adorable and a delight. They definitely do mostly takeout as there are only two booths available. There is a restroom, though we did not use it.

The food was OK. Relatively standard American Chinese takeout; IYKYK the distinction.

The main issue is that everything meant to be savory is too salty. You lose the flavors of the beef, oyster sauce, hoisin, umami etc. in all the salt. So if you like salty food, this place is good for you.

The beef we ordered was velveted nicely. Perhaps a tad too long, but still better than undervelveted. It’s too bad the flavor of the beef and sauce was lost in the salt.

The General Tso’s chicken sauce is excellent, and the crunch on the freshly fried breading was good (we ate in, so it didn’t sit). However, this was overshadowed by the quality of the fried chicken as it was mostly breading on a lot of the pieces.

I wasn’t expecting deep fried dumplings but they were OK. The dim sum (siumai) was better, though also very salty. We did not end up liking the szechuan dumplings at all. They seemed undercooked and weirdly mushy, and served with too much salty peanut sauce that drowned out any flavor the dumpling filling would’ve had.

The food is good, but to order they recently started charging service fee plus mandatory high tip. For takeout! The $14 order I nearly placed came to $23. So no, not this time!!!
