I’ve visited over 60 Starbucks locations across the country, and unfortunately the Madisonville, KY location has consistently been the most disappointing. I understand that Starbucks has standardized recipes and products, which makes the repeated inconsistency here confusing.
The drinks often taste off or poorly made compared to other locations. It’s not a one-time issue. I’ve experienced this multiple times. When I visit other towns, my drinks are consistently great, so I know what the quality should be.
I’m leaving this review in hopes that management looks into training, quality control, and drink consistency. I truly enjoy Starbucks as a brand, but this location does not reflect the standard I’ve come to expect.

I was very nervous because I haven’t gone to a Starbucks before, but the person who served me was very nice, understanding, and patient! ☺️
I ordered a pumpkin cream cheese muffin, and a coconut milk dragon fruit refresher. They both tasted so delicious, and I could tell that great care was put into them
The atmosphere was calm and cozy, it was very clean, and the service was very fast!

Starbucks is a smooth operation at the Madisonville location. They seem to have most of it together even though they are usually short handed. They push through and try to make the best of their situation. I implore you to definitely check them out although through their busy times it could be up to a 30 minute wait, but the atmosphere stays positive and active.

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever patroned. The employees move insanely slow and never made an attempt to keep up with orders. I ordered a simple latte, and there were only 2-3 people inside when I arrived. By the time I left, there were 18 people waiting. Horrible service. I placed my order at 3:03 PM and received it at 3:29. If there had been a long line when I arrived, I would’ve understood. I will continue to enjoy Starbucks coffee, but not from this location.

Ordered a medium drip coffee plain. Waited 25 minutes to receive the cup of coffee. I would understand if I had ordered some exotic drink, but drip coffee……plain. Perhaps having the cashier make super simple coffees would expedite things? I even tipped a dollar! Wish I could have my dollar back.

The store was very clean and the majority of the staff looked like they were doing their best to get the orders made as quickly as possible, but management really needs to hire more staff. Often there was only one very hardworking woman making all the drink orders that were coming through.
For now, if you go to this Starbucks order ahead and add 20-30 extra minutes to the “estimated pickup time” for your order. This was what I heard from multiple other patrons waiting for their orders too.
I unfortunately had to leave before my drink was completed so I can’t comment on quality, but the drinks and food looked like they were being prepared well!

Wonderful experience overall! Day 1 was definitely packed, but I did a mobile order and picked up inside, waited a little longer than original pick up time, but understandable. Workers seemed to handle the rush very well! Friendly staff. Definitely will return!
