This place was all over my feed so I decided to try it and my first attempt didn’t go so well as they were having issues so I couldn’t have lunch here and was told to come back for dinner. I waited a week and decided to come back for lunch as I was near by. They’re still in the soft opening phase so I understand they need to work out al if of kinks especially the flow customers coming in and out. It was a rainy day so some had to wait outside. We waited about 30 minutes to get seated. We sat down and was given a lime ponzu sauce and a sesame sauce for dipping. Got the marinated toro and it was good but sliced way too thin. When you dip it, it starts breaking up in the broth. The food itself was decent but not as hyped as everyone made it sound like and not worth a 1-2 hour wait.

Went at 1pm and only waited 10 minutes! The restaurant was pretty empty by 2pm. Tried the flat iron, toro beef belly, and the zabuton. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the flat iron most! The marinade is great for presentation but didn’t really add to the flavor imo. The regular size was plenty for the 3 of us and even took some to go. We tried the original, spicy, and fire crab broths. The fire crab was delicious (but is a bit on the sweeter and saltier end). The spicy broth was just ok and tasted like plain broth with chili flakes but didn’t have much flavor depth. Overall yummy and worth it if there’s no wait!

Our family just went there for late lunch. We love the atmosphere. The broths are so yummy & tasty. The meat is tendon. We also order seafood platter, which was great. The staffs are friendly. We are definitely coming back to try the iron stuffs.

I had a poor and deeply disappointing experience here. Upon sitting at a booth at lunch time – where there are many empty seats and they let us pick where we want to sit, so we went for a booth next to window, and it’s an undivided table meant for four, but it’s pretty normal for two people sit and they let us. Surprisingly, while we are sitting and looking at the menu, the staff immediately told me that if the place got busy, they’d seat other guests with us. This is a fixed booth – not a communal table. In any professional restaurant, you either have separate communal seating or you ask people to wait if tables are full. The baffling part: at the time, there were open bar seats and empty tables. This suggestion ruined the dining atmosphere before I even had water. It’s not just poor training; it’s unheard of customer service. I left before ordering, and frankly, I cannot recommend a place that would treat guests this way. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I ordered surf and turf. The lobster was a whole, very large and great. The beef was also good. The Japanese hot pot broth was as expected. The sukiyaki broth was a bit too salty. Next, and this is the reason I think I’ll never come back: the white rice was bad… It looked like it had some brown rice mixed in, but it wasn’t entirely brown rice. It tasted somewhat like regular white rice, but I would occasionally bite into hard grains, which felt strange.
Overall, it was okay, a bit pricey, and the white rice was bad. I wouldn’t want to come back.
