At Luo Si Ding, our foundation is an 8-hour-simmered pork bone soup, layered with traditionally fermented tangy bamboo shoots, golden crispy fried beancurd skin, and chewy custom-made rice noodles, recreating the authentic fiery-sour symphony of Liuzhou’s alleyway flavors. Rustic wooden furniture glows under warm lighting, while cast-iron pots bubble with crimson chili oil – a testament to our commitment to heritage. Whether savoring the classic broth’s lingering sweetness or exploring innovative twists like tomato-infused soup, each bowl tells stories beyond spice and tang. Here, slurping noodles isn’t just a meal, but a sensory odyssey through China’s vibrant culinary underworld.

Reviews
Pairing the meal with their lemon tea was a perfect match—it was refreshing and balanced everything so well. And don’t forget to order their desserts; they’re the perfect way to end the meal. Portions were generous, presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
What surprised me the most is the choices of desserts, they have so many options to choose from and they are so authentic Chinese dessert soup that made with love and passion. Great place for hot noodle soup and enjoy a bowl of dessert afterwards!
1) The soup base is very fresh and fragrant, and one very important point for me is that after eating, there is no sour aftertaste like the packaged ones. My mouth feels comfortable after finishing, not heavy at all.
2) The spicy level options are very good, you can choose what you like. It doesn’t hurt the stomach and also doesn’t feel too oily.
3) They also have many snacks, and they update new items very often. It feels very fun to eat here because there is always something new to try.
4) The sweet desserts (tang shui) are another highlight. They are not too sweet at all, and the update speed is also very fast. It feels like they often keep up with what’s popular in China. Recently I really like the taro dessert and the new tapioca balls dessert.
It can really compare with the ones in China. Highly recommend this place!!
Number one in Bay Area!!!
Our first time trying this and it’s really yummy!
The broth is also delicious
Their signature dessert Red Bead Tofu pudding is a must try ❤️
The broth is deep, rich, and unapologetically funky — exactly how real Luosifen should be, not toned down at all. You can taste the layers: fermented bamboo shoots, spice, and that signature umami that hits immediately.
The noodles have great texture, toppings are generous, and everything feels thoughtfully done. Portions are solid, prices are very reasonable, and the space is clean and comfortable — perfect for a casual but satisfying meal.
If you grew up eating Luosifen or know what real Luosifen tastes like, this place delivers. Definitely a repeat spot.
Food
They serve Guangxi Luosifen here. The taste is fine — sour, spicy, and authentic enough — but honestly not much different from the instant Luosifen packs you can buy. Even though they claim it’s freshly made, in reality the flavor difference is not significant.
Price
At 99 Ranch Supermarket (大华99), you can get a Luosifen pack for only $2–3 USD. Here, one bowl costs around $20 with tips — that’s 7–8 times more expensive. For such a huge price difference, I expected a big improvement, but the upgrade in taste is minimal. The cost-to-value ratio feels low.
Environment
The store used to be a milk tea shop, so the space is small, seating is limited, and you may end up on a long bench. There’s no Wi-Fi , and it’s not suitable for staying long. Definitely more of a quick in-and-out place.
Marketing vs Reality
They’ve clearly invested a lot in marketing and promotion, which explains the hype. But from my experience, the actual flavor and value are quite average, not living up to the strong branding. In essence, there’s no real difference from the Luosifen you can cook at home with a pack from 99 Ranch.
✅ Overall
If you’re just curious, it’s worth trying once . But if you care about price-to-taste ratio, you’ll probably find it overhyped and overpriced compared to the simple $2–3 supermarket option.
