It was my first time visiting Mediterranean Kebab House on Maiden Lane. First impressions definitely matter and all I can say was it wasn’t good.
Simon looked like he wasn’t all there. Slurred speech and almost whispering. We could hardly hear what he was saying.
We ordered the Mushroom Swiss and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
Simon asked us to take a seat and I had to mention that all of the tables were filthy as well as the floor. To his credit he did clean them somewhat. But I had to re-clean the table we sat at.
Our order was served in a timely manner. My Swiss Burger was underwhelming and overcooked. Dry as a bone with a minuscule amount of onions and mushrooms.
My partner’s Buffalo Chicken Wrap was extremely runny hence making it messy to eat as it just fell apart. He initially wanted Boloni but he was told only the night chef was able to make it.
This was not a good experience for us at all.
I definitely do not recommend this place as there are several other options out there with fantastic food/hygiene standards. A disappointment.

This was a nice restaurant. It was empty, so the lack of urgency to seat us was a bit confusing. Once the alarm of their first customer of the day settled down we actually enjoyed the food once it came. We did however also order tea in addition to our cokes but I guess that was overlooked. We had to send the baba ghanoush back to be warmed up because there were still chunks of ice in it. The flavor was good though.

Rona is the momma you need in your life! Her restaurant is amazing and the food is incredible!!! Her chef, Simon, is such a gifted cook. As soon as you walk in, Rona greets you with a big smile and a warm heart that makes you feel like part of her family. She will chat with you while you wait for your food. It’s a must if you’re in the area. We will be back every time we are in town!!

First time there. The food was outstanding, absolutely delicious. We were there during prime dinner time and the place was dead though, I wonder why???? The service was very prompt but absolutely zero personality, no personality is the only reason for 3 stars on service. The atmosphere was good but because it was so slow and quiet I gave it 4 stars in that department. I can’t stress enough how good the food was though!!!

I have ordered twice from this restaurant. The first time the food was not very fresh, it seemed to have been sitting around for a while, the order was not correct & it was overly seasoned. I figured it was a fluke and tried them again a few weeks later. Not only was part of the order forgotten this time, half the food was cold and needed to be re-heated. It was also overly-seasoned once again. During the order I was encouraged to get a platter. I explained that I did not want a platter. I was told it was a “better deal” & again I stated that I did not want the food that was offered on the platter, I wanted the kabobs. Well, I didn’t get Kabobs as I ordered. I got beef patty’s instead at $7.99 each… I will not be back.

Easily my favorite place to order gyros and rice plates. The food is delicious, the serving size is plenty and I can’t get enough of it! I get either the chicken, lamb or kofta plate and order a chicken gyro for my wife. Even my son enjoys the kofta. I’ve tried all the other halal places and shawarma restaurant and this food beats them all.

Holy moly! This food is off the charts. Got mildly lost and went here on a whim because i saw a mom and her cute little kid inside and figured it was a family business. The little kid was running all around having a fun time with his family, and it was a good vibe.
I got the beef and lamb gyro and the dolmades and everything was fresh and delicious; Like a flavor explosion. There are many other Mediterranean eateries in this area, but this one is easily at the top! Highly recommended and you can see by all of the other reviews.

I’ve been waiting for something like this to come to Greece, NY! My husband and I are huge Mediterranean foodies. The staff are so friendly and easy to talk to; I think we hugged about 3 times when I was there picking up our food. The chicken gyro platter was amazing. Chicken was very tender and seasoned well. The falafel was crispy and not dry on the inside like I’ve had other places. The tzatziki sauce was tasty and I enjoyed dipping the pita in that and the hummus. Great prices, very affordable for the amount of food you get- you can easily get 2-3 meals from 1 platter. Definitely telling my friends and family about this!
