It’s a nice place, with great food at a more than fair price, but the service is somewhat lacking.
I waited 35 minutes for my appetizer before they eventually brought the wrong one. Another 10 minutes later and the right appetizer finally arrived. My server didn’t seem all that interested in serving me, which was odd. The couple next to me were provided information on the daily specials and had their orders taken before mine despite me already having been ready to order for 10 minutes prior to them even arriving. And then when they finally came to take my order they didn’t even bother to tell me what the specials were. I had to pry it out of them. Same with dessert, it was not offered, I had to ask. On top of that, I was only ever provided a single refill on my drinks. And that wasn’t even done by the server, but someone else walking around with water.
Despite the weird service experience, the overall experience was generally positive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, the food is great, and the prices were fair. I would definitely go again.

We waited until this place was settled in to finally check out SUR. The food was tasty – crab cakes, scallops and hangar steak. As was the gin and basil drink. The recommended scalloped potatoes were good, but very greasy.
The waitress didn’t ask us for a drink order on her first visit. Luckily, we were given water right away, and the food and drink came at a reasonable time after ordering.
The space is pretty, and the ambiance was nice, but it was pretty dead for a Thursday night – probably only 6 tables filled. I hope SUR will continue to be there, as it’s nice having a nice restaurant nearby.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out SUR tonight and were VERY impressed! We went all out and everything start to finish was divine! The cocktails were crafted with fresh ingredients (you can tell the difference trust me) our app was made with homemade kettle chips – their take on nachos- I LOVED these. The meat on them and our steaks were so tender and cooked exactly how we asked – medium! I can’t pick a favorite thing truly, but the truffle mac was absolutely delicious last, but not least that chocolate cake OH MY. The chocolate is a dark chocolate, not overly sweet because it’s fresh cacao and it was made with all the love
HIGHLIGHTS for me – Stephanie our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was so informative, friendly and all her suggestions when I asked, were fantastic!
– They keep the food/ingredients fresh!! Never frozen meat, noodles imported from Europe which makes them gluten sensitive, and everything is made from scratch!
Price point – exactly what you would expect for the atmosphere, elevated dining experience and really good food! My take is that it was actually a good price for everything we got and the quality. The 10oz strip, with potatoes and a salad was $29. We have spent just as much grabbing something mid. Although I would suggest going all out if you have a special occasion or just want to treat yourself!
Needless to say, we will be back and we can’t wait to be back for the wine tasting in October!! Extra points for being such a vibe in there – as my boyfriend said it didn’t feel like we were in Ramsey! Usually, you would have to go into the cities for good dining like this!
I would also like to say for people saying the service is slow, this is a higher end dining experience and quality food fresh made takes time.. We were there just under two hours, but that was for all of these courses and that’s what I would expect!

Had to wait an additional 5 minutes initially, herbs were fresh. But unfortunately couldn’t be clean due to the lack of a spin down filter or other technologies to circumvent this issue. (Ramsey/Anoka issue)
Neither enjoyed the full meal which was small in comparison due to these issues.
Outside of that they do make traditional Italian but I expected a lot more pizazz with my experience. Gotta change with the times and I won’t be going back to this set again.
At least until I hear they’re running the game correct. 2 linguines: base level good taste. Not fantastic if they had clientele.
Would love to see them invest some money in better parm as well as stepping into a bit more modernized set as their menu suggests.
Money makers I get but for quality I wouldn’t recommend.
Other details: at noon, clean environment won’t get you sick. But our water treatment is trash so pick up the slack or suffer/harm others.
Doubtful on that end. Ever want a shot at redemption as your turnaround in kitchen doctrine should take 3-6 months max. Lmk would have to be comped. Otherwise could sell you a sick Alfredo base recipe that would reduce prep time and make customers happier.
With right chef will get you where you need to be. Old school needs to mesh with modern.

Very good and quality food, reasonably priced. Appetizer and entrées arrived in a timely fashion and were delicious. The cheeseburger was perfectly cooked and had a very flavorful aioli. The swordfish paired with the mango habanero pico was the perfect pairing. The chef also made an extra dairy-free sauce for us as well. The waitress was attentive and very helpful throughout the meal. I will be returning!

This was, by far, the absolute WORST dining experience we have ever had, and we’ve had some bad ones! To start, the location of this place was very odd. It seemed to be in a business building, attached to a rental hall. Our reservation was at 6pm. We wandered through the nearly empty restaurant (already a bad sign on a Saturday night) as the parking lot is at the back of the building. We weren’t greeted by anyone on this trek. We made our way to the hostess stand in the corner, and had to stand off to the side so someone, ANYONE would see us. We were eventually seated, brought water, and told our waitress would be there soon. Just looking around, everyone seemed confused. We saw on two occasions that the customers flagged down staff members carrying trays of food who looked like they had NO IDEA where they were going. We started to feel a little anxious, but thought our experience may be different. Boy were we WRONG! Our waitress came and asked us what we were celebrating, it was my belated birthday dinner. After extensively explaining the one page menu, she took our drink orders and said she’d be back…15 minutes later she returned, then proceeded to push our straws into our drinks with her fingers! Serve 101, NEVER touch a customer’s straw with your dirty fingers!!!! Ugh. So. We proceeded to order appetizers, and our meal. And then she was gone. Along with all of our hopes. Our appetizers arrived at 655, after we had to flag down a food runner who almost delivered our food to the wrong table! Mind you, our reservation was at 6pm! How long does it take to warm the bread and make some meatballs!? We had no hope left. Still hadn’t seen our waitress, but witnessed her delivering food to the wrong table, and loudly explaining in great detail the one page menu to newcomers. Still our drinks remained empty. At 738pm, our dinner arrived. And it was awful. Burnt overdone steaks, hard potatoes, and ZERO flavor! We couldn’t even take it anymore. No one came to check on how our food was, and that was it for us. We were going to order cake to celebrate, but couldn’t wait another hour in that horrible place! I got up, found where the waitresses were (all looking like deer caught in headlights and running around nowhere delivering the wrong food to the wrong tables!), and promptly asked for our bill while handing her our credit card. She came to our table and apologized, “we’ve never been this busy!” Really??? On a Saturday night, you weren’t expecting a dinner rush??? Unbelievable! We paid the bill and left, never to return! This will be a story told for years to come of the worst dining experience EVER! I don’t know who is giving this place more than one star, unless they’re being paid. Maybe they are better at lunch? Who knows. All I know is, we will be telling everyone we know that this place is NOT a place to go. Ever. SURely never visiting again! Wish we had our money back and a do over at one of our favorite fine dining establishments that knows how to do dinner right!

✨ Truly a 5-Star Experience ✨
We had the absolute best night at SUR by Vita Bella in Ramsey. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and intention- not just by the staff, but the whole vibe. It’s elegant, inviting, and beautifully designed.
My significant other, our youngest daughter, and I were seated at the chef’s table (such a cool experience!) and treated like absolute VIPs. Our server, Stephanie, was incredible- so kind, helpful, and truly knew the menu inside and out. Every dish she recommended was a hit.
The chef personally came out to welcome us, which made it even more memorable. The food? Every bite was thoughtful, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Huge thank you to the amazing management team! They went above and beyond to make this whole experience happen and it truly showed in every detail. They also shared that their lunch, happy hour, and dinner menus each offer something special for everyone and we honestly can’t wait to come back and try it all!
As a guest, I can confidently say: SUR by Vita Bella is a gem. Ramsey is lucky to have this place.

My husband and I drove a fair distance to enjoy SUR for a rare date night. Our experience dining at Sur was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and professional! Every dish was exquisitely prepared, beautifully presented, and full of refined flavors. They were able to accommodate special requests per food sensitivities and did so graciously. Beyond the food, Sur carries a sense of timeless class that elevates the entire experience, making it feel both special and comfortable. A truly elegant restaurant that delivers excellence on every level. A place to dine and feel away from the distractions of life. Highly recommended.

Sur has a really nice dining room and is a great atmosphere to have a date, a family meal or a business lunch. All of the servers have been wonderful. Everything I’ve tried on the menu and the chefs specials have been super good. You can tell they take pride in the high quality of their ingredients. Things like the brandy cream sauce or asiago cream sauce add that creative spin that take dishes up to the next level from other restaurants.

I went to this gorgeous, unique steak and seafood spot and was quite impressed! Kaylee was very informative and knew the menu well. I ordered the ribeye and it was phenomenal. The meals took a little longer then a normal quick in n out steakhouse but I expected this. I love higher end restaurants and have been to quite a few and this one stood out. The ambiance was impressive. The drinks were delicious. I would highly recommend! Make sure you have a couple hours to enjoy yourselves! Will be back for Valentine’s day!Day!! Loved the chocolate cake!
