Walk through the front door and be greeted by the hostess, we were seated quickly. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which came out quickly. They were delicious.
Whenever I visit an Irish eatery for the first time, I will order the fish and chips. It’s normally a good indicator of authenticity. In Ireland, fish and chips is always a cod dish. When my order arrived and cod was on my plate, I was presently surprised since most local restaurants don’t use cod. The chips were crunchy, too, just like in Ireland. My only complaint was with the tater sauce I received as it was mayonnaise, not tater sauce. I think I ended up getting the bottom of a homemade batch. I’d order again. My wife ordered the Guinness brisket. Let’s start by admitting that Guinness in the US is not the same as Guinness in Ireland. It would be nearly impossible to get the Guinness flavor of this Irish dish in the US. They tried, and while they did create a very beefy dish, getting that Irish flavor from Guinness in the US just can’t be done. I was pleased to see that they went a different way with the dish and added depth to the beef.
I’ll be back.
The atmosphere is very present and the pictures on the wall are Irish.

A local favorite! The food is really high-quality and well done. Excellent service. You can come here as a family or to watch a game in the bar. Really great staple in the neighborhood!

We enjoyed our time here, staff were super friendly and atmosphere was lovely. We happened to be there on a Thursday which was trivia night which was nice. Our group had shepherds pie, hamburgers and a Ruben – everyone said their meal was delicious!

A warm and cozy environment, the Crown and Fiddle offers a wide variety of Old World options and more familiar American fare. It’s one of the few places in town that serves Scottish Egg, and the Irish Potato Puffs are excellent as well. All of your typical Irish Pub favorites are here, including Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, and the Dublin Spice Bag. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is a must as well. The space has both indoor and outdoor seating, with plenty of TVs for sports. They are also going to open earlier on Saturday and Sunday to accommodate soccer fans. If you’re in this part of town, or want some delicious pub food for a nice price and cold drafts, the Crown and Fiddle is the place to go.

We had an early dinner on Valentine’s day at a new restaurant for us. It had 2 large dining areas plus an outdoor space and bar area.
We started with a Scottish egg that was cooked perfectly with crispy out layer. The sausage was very flavorful and the egg was runny. The shrimp and grits were cooked with sausage and a few mushrooms. I would have loved a lot more. The shrimp were fresh and cooked well. The grits were creamy but not cheesy, which is classic but they did their spin on them. The fish and chips was classic with crispy cod and fries. I would like a little bigger, crispier chips. The smaller fries didn’t stay hot and were not as crispy as I like. We met Tina, one of the owners and she is delightful.
Definitely worth going back to try more dishes.

The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding. We ordered baby beef Wellington’s, Irish salmon, and filet Mignon. All of it was great and portion sizes were good too. If you are looking for a nice place to have dinner with family, this is it.

I ate here a couple of times. I like the beef wellington as it was tender, and bread was flaky and soft. The sauce paired it well. I recently tried the scotch eggs which was fantastic with a nice crunch and gooiness. I wasn’t too crazy of the shepard’s pie, but the pot pie is one of my favorites. The alfredo pasta with chicken was too much oily for my taste. It was drenched in it which made the flavor too strong. I would avoid it.

Another instance, I ordered takeout and had 1 item missing which was my beef wellington. And my filet mignon came with fries when I specifically edit my order to be mash potatoes. Came back 5mintues later and explained the situation. No questions asked and they prepared my missing order. I waited not too long. Probably another 5 minutes. I like the speediness of them fixing my order.

We found the Crown and Fiddle on accident and we were glad we did. We had potato puffs as an appetizer. These were tasty. For dinner we had Sheperds Pie and Beef Stew Pot Pie. Both were excellent. The stew was flavorful with soft vegetables in bite size pieces. It tasted homemade. My husband eats Sheperds Pie whenever he sees it on the menu. He says the Sheperds Pie at Crown and Fiddle is as good as his own. It was enjoyed.

Food was definitely better than I was expecting and reasonably priced especially considering the large portions. Will definitely be back soon.
