This is a very cool location. Said to be in an old YMCA building. They had some very good BBQ meats. The beer was great as well. I went with the caged canary Hazy. Plenty of room both inside and out. A large pool room on one side. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I would certainly go back.

Great service, helpful, friendly, happy staff. Yummy food, good stuff and lots to choose from. Lots of in house brews to choose from, try a sample or two, I’m sure they have one you like. All this in a friendly relaxing atmosphere, bring a couple friends and enjoy, some days have free music and speak easy nights.

Black Rock Brewpub continues to be one of the best local gems around. The food is consistently fantastic, the seasonal treats are always creative and delicious, and the beer lineup is absolutely killer—easily some of the best pours you’ll find in the area. The staff deserves a shout-out too: friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

My friend-group has had a blast there during their Halloween Crawls in years past, and those nights have become some of our favorite memories. The energy, the costumes, the drinks—it’s always a guaranteed good time.

If you’re looking to support a truly local spot that nails it in every category, Black Rock Brewpub is the place. Highly recommend.

Black Rock has been a staple of our adventures for years. The vibe is awesome and relaxed, the live music is always amazing to sit and have a beer to listen. The food is AMAZING, the pretzel logs melt in your mouth, the chicken is that perfect crispy you always strive to achieve on your own but never can, the butter candle is the cutest and has most tasty bread. The beer is delicious, I typically go for the IPAs (the glass take home magnets are a plus )

Needless to say, the owners are wonderful people who care greatly for Black Rock, their town and community. 10000/10 would recommend to anyone traveling through or visiting Pottsville.

One of my favorite spots in Pottsville! The atmosphere is super chill and the staff are always friendly. The beer is amazing — there’s always something new and delicious to try. I especially love the outdoor area with the fire pits — perfect place to hang out with friends and relax. Highly recommended!

Blackrock is one of my favorite, laid back spots to hang out. Their food and drinks are always delicious (especially the rosemary butter candle and mule drinks). The entertainment and special events are always top notch. All ages friendly! They have darts and other arcade games to pass the time while you sit back and enjoy a lowkey night out. 10/10 recommend. It’s an hour one way for me to get to and it’s worth the drive every time
