Hello, Oktoberfest! I have to give kudos to EJ Phair’s staff for going all in, 100% embracing the German/Bavarian celebration. Both the male and female waitstaff dress in lederhosen or dirndls. Their beer menu reflects Märzens, Hefeweizens, Festbiers, Pilsners, and Dunkels, while still offering IPA’s, stouts, and all your other faves from local craft brewers. Their food menu also reflects the celebration, offering Bavarian food specials.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, the food service was quick. I’m not a huge fan of potato salad, but theirs may be the best I have ever tasted. Their burgers are delicious. Restrooms are clean.

Indoors, the brewery resembles an old English tavern. It’s dimly lit for ambience. Perhaps this is just for Oktoberfest. I’m not sure, but I dug it. There is also a patio area if you’re included for some subiste with your brew

My buddy and are both German and have lived in Germany and honestly the food was like eating at a fine Restaurant. Not only were the main dishes excellent (Jägerschnitzel and Sauerbraten) but the side dishes as well. Great beers (Hefeweizen) on tap washed it all down. We sat outside on the perfect day so the Atmosphere was great! Sevice was excellent!

Just had lunch with a buddy on a Monday.
Fantastic fries (skinny and fried just right) as part of my delicious fish and chips.

My buddy had the salad with a side perfectly cooked salmon.

Hospitality was great – very welcoming and fast service.

On a warm afternoon their west facing patio would be perfect.

My wife would like many things on the menu, lots of salads and “not heavy” main courses.

And the beers – a diverse selection from around the west with many styles.

Keep it up. Can’t wait to go back.

Only stopped by for a beer, so can’t comment on the food. Of course the beer was great. They have a good selection on tap. They still aren’t back to making their own, but I’m told 2024 is a good target. Inside vibe has a bit of old school bar vibe with a couple of TV’s above the bar. Outside is a functional patio facing the parking lot. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive (took me a bit to find the beer I wanted). Will update once I come back for the food!

Everything is good. But if you’re not ordering skinny garlic fries, your meal could be 150% better! Enjoy!!

They’re a brand new location- just opened in July 2019 so I’m gonna cut em slack on things that need improvements. I’ve been here 8 times since they’ve opened and it’s August 19th today. I enjoy coming here. Long story short it’s a place with beer for all and pub food and there is NO place like this anywhere in Alamo. It’s cool. Sure there is some beer and some food I didn’t like but a lot of it I do like. People who judge things off of one visit are typically impatient and overly critical. Give the place a few tries and try new things. Then make a decision. Personally I can’t wait for the outdoor patio to be built. That’s gonna be awesome.

It’s still nice enough weather to sit out on the patio and catch some rays and eat some good food and drink some good beer and be around good people

Stopped in this place to avoid the rush hour traffic and man what a find. Great selection of beers and you have to try their snitzel. It was delicious.
