Paul the owner is amazing and the food always fresh and the dishes very generous. We constantly order out and eat ever since they opened and we love it. The shrimp or the chicken hibachi for the kids is amazing, and they love it, king crab roll ROCKS and the WILDFIRE appetizer is a must for every order (spicy but so so good). Sesame chicken with steamed rice is also a perennial favorite as a meal too.

The staff was friendly and the decor was well done. The variety is there depending on what you are looking for. There were 2 of us and we were able to have several rolls along with soup for under $50 and we were full. It was delicious and I look forward to returning to this little sushi bistro.

Never again.
We are looking for a nice sushi place in the Oak Park/Forest Park area, and I saw a groupon for Bistro sake, so we decided to give it a try after checking the online reviews (good to fair).
First of all, the service is appalling. Ten minutes for having a glass of water, 25 minutes for some food in the table (the place was almost empty by then), and then 20 more for the check.
I don’t know what people think sushi/makis should be, but they don’t serve them in this restaurant. At least what we had for our groupon (I know some places don’t treat well people with coupons or so). Makis were almost 50% rice (mushy and overcooked by far), 45% veggies, and 5% fish. And even that 5% is generous.
We left half of the stuff we asked for, did not taste well, and caused some indigestion to us after half an hour. I guess that the fish is not the freshest.
We will never come back, it’s a shame for them, because we love japanese and go with our friends quite frequently.

I was here on St Patrick Day with a friend, and it was so good, the food portion was like a thanksgiving dinner, it also depends what you order. At first we were giving contemplation food i think its called. Then we ordered our food although i cant remember what it was but it sure was alot. Later on as we were finishing, our waitress had brought out this dessert of fruit. It was adorable. It was an orange carved into a flower for each of us. The only thing we paid was what we ordered, the rest i guess was free. Ive been wanting to come back here to try other meals which will hopefully be in th near future.
