Food was mediocre. No real flavor. My family was pretty disappointed by the lack of flavor. Looks great! But taste wasn’t good. We definitely won’t be back, unfortunately. Bill was roughly $135. 4 entrees and 2 appetizers. No alcohol, 2 lemonade. Location is cool and it’s convenient.

This place is so underrated!! The food is super good, great drinks, and friendly staff. We love Taco Tuesday nights, but our favorite thing to order are the shishito peppers! Be sure to ask for them! See you there.

House of Mule in Folsom is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, making it a perfect spot for a night out with friends or a relaxed dinner. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their mule cocktails are the star of the show, with a wide variety of creative options that are perfectly crafted.

The service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Everything came out quickly, and you can tell they really care about the experience they provide.

If you’re in Folsom and looking for great drinks, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere, House of Mule is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

House of Mules Cocktails & Kitchen is an absolute must‑visit in Folsom! From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff make you feel right at home.

The food is amazing here. Whether you’re craving tacos, burgers, nachos, or other flavorful dishes, everything we tried was delicious, bursting with fresh flavors, and perfectly portioned. The vibe is relaxed and lively, with plenty of seating including an open patio.

I also love that House of Mules brings in live music. This spot has quickly become one of my favorites in the area, and I can’t recommend it enough, whether you’re stopping by for happy hour, dinner, or weekend cocktails, it’s always great!

When this place first opened up the food was good and for a while the food was consistent. But the last few times have been disappointing. Tacos used to be amazing here but they changed and were greasy and chewy last time. Expensive but no longer quality. I was surprised at the price of a mule, $14 for a store bought dragonfruit puree. No craft drinks, just a bunch of purees they add. A woman bartender would usually recognize us from our dogs and was very welcoming. The large Mexican dude has no customer service skills; he was terse and quite prickly. We wont be back because of his attitude, which is sad because of their awesome patio. What’s worse, is I heard he is the manager, when I talked with other regulars about his “charming” personality. We can walk here, so we’ll just go to Dos Coyotes since they have the same greenbelt on the back of the patio.

We went Friday night and listened to the live band B-Side band and was great. I gave 4 stars on food because we ordered the deep fried pickles and they basically gave us 1 pickles sliced and deep fried. For the price it definitely wasn’t worth it. Otherwise the service was great and friendly

I knew of this place when it opened, but I didn’t take much of an interest at first. My coworker and I had dinner Thursday night and we enjoyed it very much. She had gone before for their Black Bean Burger, which she loves, and I went with the Achiote Chicken Sandwich, also delicious. The menu itself was a little overwhelming, as they had items from Stir Fried Noodles, Bánh Mi, Jambalaya, Pizza, Tacos…just to name a few. Not sure what I’ll be getting next time, but I will definitely be back for Trivia night, along with some more coworkers.

Came for the food, stayed because the whiskey mules are dangerously good—the kind that make you say “just one more” and suddenly you’re debating sports takes with strangers like lifelong friends.
Bonus points for being surprisingly kid-friendly: plenty of space, zero side-eye when kids exist, and enough TVs showing sports that even the pickiest fan (or bored parent) is entertained. ⚾
Great drinks, lively vibes, kids welcome, sports everywhere—this place somehow nailed the holy trinity. We’ll definitely be back (and yes, for another mule).

House of Mule is hands-down my favorite spot in Folsom to watch a game. No matter where you sit, you’ve got a perfect view. Seriously, every angle is covered. It’s one of the few sports bars where you don’t have to crane your neck or hope you picked the “good” table.
The vibe is super relaxed, the staff is always on top of things, and the food and drinks are legit. Quality ingredients, solid portions, and a great selection behind the bar. Whether you’re there for a big game or just grabbing a drink with friends, it’s always a good time.
Definitely my go-to sports bar in town.

We came by for UFC fight night after eyeing this location for a long time. TLDR: Fairly good food with a few sour apples, service was strange, lots of events!

Our server (who I guess was Magby from the receipt) was interesting to say the least. He was at our table often, but he didn’t seem very friendly / personable. Maybe an off night? Hard to tell.

There were Bacardi representatives giving out free shots of their mango Bacardi when the fights began. Hey free alcohol is free alcohol – props to HOM for getting events like that set up.

Fries seem like a place that could use some help. Our garlic fries were very soggy, and our friend’s sweet potato fries came out burnt first. Once replaced, the new sweet potato fries weren’t very good at all. The deep fried Oreos were also really bad. Soggy, no crunch and had very little flavor – disappointing as a dessert.

Our grilled steak sandwich was the highlight of the night. It was amazing, lots of flavor and cooked to perfection. Would recommend 1000/10. Drinks were also top notch, very refreshing and with a fair pour on the alcohol.

Table chips and green salsa 4/5

Cool cucumber mule 5/5

Guava mojito 4.5/5 (could use more guava)

Ahi poke nachos 3.5/5

Bacardi mango 4/5 (from Bacardi reps – not part of HOM)

Grilled steak sandwich 5/5
with garlic fries 2/5 (soggy)

House of mules burger
with sweet potato fries (fries burnt first, then eh after replaced) 4/5

Deep fried Oreo 1.5/5 (No good)
