Mac’s on the Pier was a Bucket List Day meal for us. We drove to Cape Cod, MA and had fresh caught and steamed Lobster at Mac’s Seafood Market on the Pier. There’s a little deli there, but if you go to the Seafood Market, they pull it out of the glass tank, steam it, and crack it, all for a very reasonable price; so much less than a restaurant or even their own the deli out front. Then we sat outside on the pier and gobbled down these delicious, fresh lobster in the glorious sunlight. We also had their Bluefish Pate, which was really just fish dip, but delicious. Neither of us had ever picked out a lobster and had it cooked for us. It was such a special Bucket List treat!!

Good food. Service is okay. Ketchup and tartar sauce, plastic ware accessible after the order. Great location for a sunset snack/dinner.
Picnic tables and a pier

Mac’s on the Pier is a coastal gem. Fresh, flavorful seafood served right by the water with a side of ocean breeze. Grab a spot in the sand and take in the beautiful sunset; it’s the perfect Cape Cod experience. Casual, scenic, and satisfying. Also loved their toasted coconut ice cream.

It’s not a traditional sit down restaurant. It’s more like a big stand. You order at a window and pick up at anothe. They do some picnic tables that you eat at. The food was good, reasonable, and came quickly

The location justifies going here. It’s on the water in Wellfleet, so that’s nice. The fish is very good and very fresh, but the portions are VERY small, the fries are out of a bag frozen and unremarkable and the slaw tastes like nothing. Their signature hot sauce is probably the best thing they offer. If this place wasn’t located where it is, no one would bother going.
The dish pictured is the $22 fish and chips. Your eyes don’t deceive you. That’s a small paper plate for scale.

Great location. Great location. Expected way over priced sub par food. But the location is almost worth the way over priced food. Orders taken by people that act like they wish you would go away. Great location. I guess just be happy the food is available int that great location.

Had a cup of clam chowder my wife did. Also, we had a great server smiling the atmosphere, and views were great also. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Mac’s on the Pier is an absolute gem—but here’s a pro tip: skip the walk-up counter and head into the seafood market. I picked out a fresh lobster, and the super friendly and patient staff steamed and cracked it for me right there. What sweet people—so helpful and kind! The whole thing cost about a third of what you’d pay at the main counter. I grabbed a seat at the picnic tables overlooking the water, added a cup of melted butter for just $1.50 (yes, really!), and had one of the best meals of my trip. Hands down the BEST lobster deal on the Cape!
