Barton’s is my go-to morning stop on the way to work. I’m there a lot, and it never disappoints. My regular order is the lox sandwich — about ten bucks and you get a fantastic toasted bagel loaded with all the good stuff. The bagels are consistently excellent, the cream cheese options are all great, and their espresso is top-notch. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you want a quality bagel and coffee to start your day.

The bagels were good and they had a good selection along with lots of different cream cheese options (both salty and sweet), however the staff was really pushy and rude when we were explaining what we wanted.
When we went to pay, the guy didn’t even say a word, he just said the price and I handed him the card and he gave me the card back, and didn’t say anything else.

A rare gem of a place, with exceptional service and affordability. As soon as you say your order, your bagel is placed in the toaster. And moments later, it’s already spread with the cream cheese of your choice and nicely wrapped waiting for you. If this isn’t exceptional enough, the price is not the usual shock I feel in the Bay Area when I get a bagel – they have managed to keep things very affordable, which I am very grateful for.

Lifelong fan, best bagels around. Asiago with cream cheese is gto play. New guy who works in the morning there is very rude but I’m still giving 5 stars cuz I love this place 5ever and everyone else has been nice

Honestly, the only thing I like about this place is the price. Pretty cheap bagels that are just ok.

Other than that, the place is really old, and there is this one rude worker who is always yelling at everyone. Pretty sure it’s the same person other reviewers are talking about.

This place is really great-very affordably priced extremely chewy bagels toasted to perfection and my personal favorite garlic chive cream cheese. I get the salt bagel every time and it slaps. Has the chew of a NY style bagel, not those bready bagels that everywhere else in California seems to sell. My husband is from Long Island NY and approves. They are obviously made with care! Weekends get busy, but the staff is friendly and efficient and they make the line go quick. I disagree with the low ratings-I hope people in the area appreciate how nice it is that we can get a decent bagel in this town!

Not great. We went on a Saturday late morning. My jalapeño bagel was frankly bad. It was hard and brittle, almost like a cracker. The smear also had an odd, oily texture. Did not seem fresh at all. The quality of this place is nowhere near Boichik, in my opinion.

To top everything off, the gentleman taking orders was slightly rude. He was outwardly impatient waiting on people to order. And to be clear, I am fine with rude restaurant service. In fact, I almost appreciate an establishment MORE when the food is great and the service is strictly business-like… no time to be anyone’s friend.

However, if you’re going to be rude with your service, your food better be good. Barton’s food is not good enough.

I don’t even get Bagels in New York City anymore, Barton’s is the best! Don’t expect fancy cream cheese. This is about the bagel, and now that you know, what are you going to do about it???

I’ve been coming here since I could walk so pretty much 31 years and I still stop here to stock up on bagels when I’m in the area. The person who gave a 2 star review doesn’t know what they’re talking about – but haters gonna hate, which means more delicious 100/10 star bagels for me – yay! Personal fave: their cranberry bagel. Would never buy this flavor anywhere else, but something about it hits different. Love you Barton’s!

Excellent bagels and spreads. Very nice that many of the spreads are light cream cheese, and they taste very rich.
