We always want to support local and try new things so we tried ‘Ohana Grindz tonight! We ordered the hurricane chicken katsu (which we were told had a Japanese sauce “with” it), the kalbi ribs, and fried rice. Unfortunately the chicken katsu was dry and covered in mayonnaise (we got the spicy version but it was not spicy), the ribs were okay but nothing special, the fried rice was bland. The person who took our order I think was learning and we had to place our order twice after being ignored the first time because they were having technical issues mumbling to themselves and then needed to call somebody who could help walk them through what to do.
On top of the not very interesting foods and lack of service, It was actually quite expensive, about $24 for the small amount of ribs, and $17 or $18 for the chicken katsu as you see pictured it was incredibly tiny. Ultimately not a good experience and as they have been open for a while, hard to imagine it’s just working out the kinks.

Holy smokes!!! REALLY good food. I started off with the guava topped cheesecake. It had a really nice creamy texture and taste. I got the loaded fries which had a good flavor. Perfect for a quick appetizer… I got the katsu chicken for my main dish & It came out extremely crispy which in my opinion is perfect!!!! However, when I left I had noticed I did not get the dip that makes the dish. Their a Mac salad threw me off, I’ve never had shredded pasta bits like that before.
My overall experience was good and I definitely will be back.

Amazing experience. The spicy spam masubi tasted so good I forgot to take a picture! Both the huli huli chicken and khalua pork were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The corn and pasta salad also tasted great. We will definitely be coming back, they do Hawaiian food right!

The food was excellent. My husband and I each ordered an entree combo, and for a couple bucks more, we added a second entree. We then shared our meals so we could try four different dishes. The huli huli chicken was marinaded perfectly and had a slightly grilled taste. I can understand why it is customers’ favorite. The loco moco was a beef patty covered in a savory beef gravy with an egg on top. Very tasty. My favorite was the traditional katsu. It was a sliced chicken breast with a thick, crispy coating. It came with a unique sauce, not quite a BBQ sauce, but sweet and slightly spicy. The other dish was beef teriyaki, my husband’s favorite. He said it was the best beef teriyaki he’s ever had, and I agree. So tender and flavorful. Both meals came with OG Mac, which was an excellent side with a marrying of flavors, not like any Mac I’ve had before. Tasha, the owner, shared some of her family’s Hawaiian history. The restaurant had a bistro feel and was decorated in Hawaiian style, which included a hand-painted waterfall, family photos, and surf boards. We are looking forward to going back for our favorite dishes and trying new ones. We highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for traditional Hawaiian food. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious food! Very friendly people, clean restaurant, awesome tunes playing too. We also ordered the musubi (Teri & spicy) which are bomb! We’ve tried the huli huli plate and the kalua pig (regular and moco upgraded), both are awesome. The spicy hurricane fries we have to get two of now since we don’t want to share they’re that good.

If it weren’t for the fact that they had the pastele stew on the daily specials and the lady checked to make sure there was still some and I ordered and paid for it and then get told my bad we don’t have it then I’d have given higher scores

We got takeout. The food got partially mixed together in the boxes but it was still good. It was kind of a long wait to receive it and somehow other people got their food before us that came in after us. It’s a nice clean facility and really nice staff.

It was our first visit there. There was a short wait will we ordered. The person who waited on us was helpful and friendly. Our food came quickly and delicious. I loved how there were tall tables and regular tables. Plenty of parking. I will be back.

Oh Yeah! Stopped in for a wonderfully incredible surprise of loco-moco and pork deliciousness. Very tasty plate with perfectly seasoned loco-moco. Tasted like we stepped onto the islands. So happy to have a new flavor profile in the valley and thrilled to support local restaurants. Thanks!
