Chicken verde and mole enchiladas, rib eye vampiros, salmon with rice and veggies and horchata and churros are the top wins for us so far! Service could use a refresh, filling waters, taking away dirty plates, checking in more frequently, items take time to get out, about a 25-30 min ticket time, not horrible but could be better, no paper towels in men’s bathroom today. Music and interior is a vibe, great date night! We will be back.
I had the red enchiladas, meh. Nothing I’m going to come back for. My husband had the barbecue wings. He says they were good but we’re frozen from a bag. The sauce was good. David had the green enchiladas. He said they were good and he would come back for them.
Overall the restaurant is trying to be cuisine but is really taqueria level.
There’s a lot that could be done to elevate the dishes. Right now it’s just mediocre. From sit down to getting our food took 35 minutes. What arrived should have taken ten minutes max.
The aguachile verde was good. It is supposed to be the spiciest of the three (i.e. negro, rojo, verde) but it was mild; you don’t have to shy away from it if you don’t usually gravitate towards spicy foods. The michelada was great, try it. Unfortunately the mojarra was cold in the middle and not cooked all the way through. But they haven’t been open long so I’m sure these things will be ironed out. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy the mariscos, so that seems to be the thing to get here.
I think I’ll give it another try once they are more established.
