Enjoyed both a dinner and breakfast on my recent visit to Rapid Hill, SD. The restaurant is conveniently close to the expressway and shares the large parking lot with a gas station. The food is delicious and the promise are generous. Most meals with tax and tip are about $10 each. I saw friends unable to finish their second pancake. Each one is about 10″ around!

Breakfast muffin was $5.50 with nothing. Took a pic of that. Biscuits and gravy had mystery meat and was not made here. Junky run down and 3 people came in looking for specials and left because they didn’t have a special today. Apparently the regular menu sucks and I and my girlfriend would agree. COD was just frozen 2 pieces of cheap bagged groc fish stick type. Fries were shoestring but they were hot. Just gross over all. Ticket was $25.50 and we were almost sick and didn’t eat much. Actually had to stop at bathroom on the way to our destination to @×#%… any fast food is better. And that’s saying something.

It’s not a high class place to eat but it’s hot food served in a timely manner. It’s a mom and pop place which I love the country feel. It honestly feels like grandma’s kitchen, but not your grandma, it’s you friends friends grandma. So the take away is it’s food, it’s hot, and it’s Granny’s kitchen

First off this was the best place to eat in a 30 mile radius. Thanks Joe and Carol for all the warm meals and great conversation. I was saddened today when I stopped for lunch and saw the sign on the door.
