This place was 20 mins in the opposite direction my husband and I were going but stopped anyways because of the great reviews and it did NOT disappoint. They were friendly and fast. Food was DELICIOUS. Glad we found this gem. Will be back when traveling through again.

This was our first ever meal in New Mexico, and we were incredibly impressed by both the friendly service and the quality of the food. Everything we ordered came out piping hot. The Carne Adovada, Jalapeño Sausage Breakfast Burrito, and Two Chile Rellenos with green sauce were all excellent…plus, leftovers for days! We plan to stop back on our way home to try a few other dishes that look and sound delicious. Thank you, Kris and team!

We were passing through town and couldn’t be happier we gave this a try. We both ordered a toasted BLT with extra crispy bacon and a large French fry to share. We smiled for miles and kept saying to each other.. “DELICIOUS” and “This hits the spot 100%”

Food By Kris was a pleasant surprise. We were met with friendly and understanding service. They have an extensive menu that will satisfy most. We had a large order and it was made in a timely manner, and everything was nice and hot. Such a great find in this tiny little town! Oh! And they deliver!

Passing through and we stopped to have both the Red Chili Pizza and the Green Chili Pizza. Highly highly recommend those. They were phenomenal. The cheese pizza is also approved by our 3 year old who enthusiastically said it was the best pizza ever.

I got the big box and man, you better be hungry!! Cheeseburger- good, French fries- good, taco-good, & the burrito, I only got one bite to try it, also if you’re going to be in the area definitely stop by. It beats anything you’ll get at the truck stop or the Valero!!

We were stuck in Vaughn while the wind died down. Choices are slim for dinner. we found Food by Kris, a diamond in the rough! Food was great and staff brought food to our vehicle with smile on her face. I highly recommend Food by Kris!

Disappointed… I stopped at the “Foods by Kriss” roadside food shack. I ordered a beef chorizo breakfast burrito. I ate a portion of the burrito in his parking lot, finding the first part of the burrito to be mostly eggs and rice and flavored churizo. I wrapped my burrito back up to head down the road and ate almost the rest of the burrito to discover that there wasn’t any beef in the burrito. I spent $7 for a rice and egg burrito. I’m not impressed. I won’t be stopping by again
