This place is amazing. The food is finger licking good. Order for my employees and they have said this is THE BBQ joint we have to go moving forward. I ordered online, my food was ready 15 minutes early. Once I arrived the staff quickly found my order and confirmed the food was correct. Overall experience was on point. Can’t wait to eat from here again!!!

Look, I’ve been here a few times and the ribs and chicken are pretty good. Very nice portion sizes, and the flavor is great! Reminds you of that old Chicago bbq taste. There’s a lot of young kids that work here, but they are pleasant and efficient. The links have a strange taste, almost sour. Other than that, pretty enjoyable.

Terrible I ordered at 3:40 my food was ready at 3:42 that should of been a red flag then I open the bag it’s sauce all over the inside of the bag the napkins and the containers lid as if they basically gave me someone’s left behind order and added my links…The fact that my sons small tip was hot and my tip and link was cold better confirms I received someone’s no show meal.First and last time visiting the Matteson location. Good food and the people are so sweet here. I had to go back 3 days in a roll. OMG. Cake and the ribs, hot links where sooooo good. I enjoyed it. Took home. But you can go and sit down as well. Nice place. Food is amazing. Thanks you guys for great service and amazing food. You all work so hard and would love to say Thank you for everything you do. By far, the best barbecue turkey tips that I have had in all my life. They customer service always a good experience when I’m been, but usually getting in and out the food is cooked to perfection and it’s good vibes even the atmosphere the workers everywhere kinda runs like a family setting. I recommend anyone that’s in a hunt for amazing food good quality people and exceptional customer service to check out Wil’ma’s Famous BBQ in Matteson – Jason helps holds it down you can tell his parents did an amazing job teaching him the family business.

ordered the chicken tips they were decent but I think the restaurant should start asking customers whether they want sauce on their ribs or not. I came in yesterday and ordered a small chicken tip meal. The chicken itself wasn’t bad, but the fries were absolutely awful. I could also tell the BBQ sauce had a very high sodium content. I ended up with a terrible headache afterward, and I’m certain my blood pressure spiked.
I’ll admit, I should’ve remembered to ask for no sauce, but it really wouldn’t hurt for the staff to ask customers if they’d prefer the sauce on the side or on top especially since some people, like me, have medical conditions affected by sodium.
As for the atmosphere, the staff didn’t seem very welcoming. The woman who took my order never smiled and had a very flat tone. When I tried to pay, she quickly told me they don’t accept cash which I didn’t know but the way she said it came off as rude and irritated. Yesterday was my first time trying out this place and I don’t think I’d be back. The food isn’t too bad, but it’s not something I’d say I’d get again. Also, staff members inside of this business needs to work on professionalism and welcoming customers more. Most look like they are annoyed.

I have never been disappointed when getting rib tips from Wilmas. But on New Years Eve I ordered 2 large tips. Went and picked them up. They were very tough burnt and dry. I had asked for extra sauce on the tips but didn’t receive it. No one was pleased and they are stilling in my refrigerator because the thought of having to throw that money away doesn’t sit well with me. I was not able to take them back at the time and I don’t like that they don’t answer there phone or have a way to contact them. I really wish that Wilmas would make this right .

1/19/26 Ordered online through the website for delivery. The delivery guy brought the wrong order. I ordered 2 large tips, large turkey tip/link and a small chicken tip. They delivered a 4 wings and told me that I would have to call the store for a refund. Called the number and never got an answer. I ended up driving there to return the wrong order and get my refund for the delivery charge only to be told by a man named Josh who claimed to be the manager, that I had to request a refund from the online app toast. I went to request the refund online and was sent a message saying I had to request the refund from the store. Went and showed the manager the message and he said he doesn’t know why they said that because we don’t handle refunds on delivery fees on online orders. He took my number and stated that he would have to call his online contact but couldn’t give me the number or even the name of the person. I’m not expecting a call and they claim to not have a phone at the establishment. Never had a problem before today just short of wait times. Once I get this refund issue resolved I will not be going back. Definitely not ordering anything online for delivery.

Yesterday was the second time I’ve ordered from Wilma’s in Matteson. I ordered the mini chicken tips and wings. The wings were fine but the sauce on the tips was SUPER SUGARY which is not good for anyone fighting diabetes. I did like the presence of a kiosk for managing the line.

The food was ok something about the sauce or fries was off tasted like freezer burn. I ordered the mini tip & link it was $13 and small catfish $13 as well. The cat fish was on point. The mini tip & link : tips were tender link delicious. The portion for the mini tip&link not satisfied it was half a link and about 6pcs of tip with a handful of fry that would equal to about 1 potato for $13? The fish came with 2 fillets and fry. I think I’d go during the lunch special hours 11-2pm that way the value would equal to the portion size. They are still setting up so the atmosphere isn’t complete yet , it is an express spot so I’m guessing once completed the area will be used mainly for waiting not sitting in to eat. The service was nice nothing to complain about. Would go back during lunch and get the sauce on the side. I waited about 40min and the place was not busy
