I tried Shake Shack over the weekend a few days after they opened, and was impressed! The staff was very friendly, and one of the employees walked up as soon as I walked in to make sure I understood how to order, and also helped me after I placed the order. She was so nice!
The environment was very clean, and it didn’t take very long for my order to be ready. The fries were hot and perfectly cooked – I liked the little fry fork, and the burger was great too. I had zero issues with quality. I do wish the burger was a tad larger, but I wasn’t left hungry after either. I’ll definitely go again.

Just skip it. Go to a different Shake Shack. Or literally anywhere else. For their FIRST weekend open, you would expect high quality staff and high quality food (of course only as “high quality” as Shake Shack comes). But we got the TOTAL opposite.
I was prepared for a packed restaurant— and won’t take off points for that. But the staff were basically as helpful as a dining customer.
Nobody asked anyone if they were waiting on something, needed help, no updates (nor technological updates like normal) on your order, just blank stares and ignoring you, while doing nothing else.
And … for the food … the obvious reason you go. Just awful. Burger was fine, though falling apart on the edges, but the avocado was rock hard and the bacon? Seemed as raw as it gets. Honestly just nasty. The regular fries were fine, the bacon cheese fries were a hard no go. The bacon was obviously limp and nasty just like the burger bacon, and the cheese was cold and lumped in one spot.
They obviously need a better system, because I shouldn’t have gotten a WARM, flat Coke either. Honestly the best part of the visit was the amount of boba they put in the lemonade, which surely was way more than they’re supposed to — no complaints from me there though.
Aside from that, I saw numerous customers having to tell the employees that their food was wrong, that’s just really an unpleasant sight before you order.
