Our server, Taylor, was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, kind, and made our experience even better. The food was excellent, as always. And if you know, you know — I always order the coconut cake. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and order it next time you’re there. It’s a 10/10 every single time.
We ordered dessert to go, and unfortunately when I got home, I realized we were given two tiramisus instead of a tiramisu and my beloved coconut cake. I was honestly devastated because I had been looking forward to it all night.
I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Lauren, who was so kind and understanding. Between her and another employee, Liz, they truly went above and beyond — they personally delivered a slice of coconut cake to my home the next day (and I live about 30 minutes away!). That level of customer service and hospitality is rare.
I cannot express how appreciative I was. Incredible food, beautiful ambiance, and some of the best customer service around. If you haven’t tried Max a Mia yet, put it on your to-do list. You won’t regret it.
Our waitresses, Grace and Avery, were so attentive and did a wonderful job. The food was delicious (highly recommend the Caesar salad and ragu bolognese!) and came out perfectly timed between courses. The cocktails were also fresh and well balanced. Liz the special events manager was so helpful leading up to the event and we were so happy we chose Max a Mia (especially in their beautiful new space!). We’re so grateful and look forward to visiting again and enjoying dinner!
The valentine’s day prefix menu was ample and varied,as is the standard menu. Our selections from the Appitizer to dessert met our expectations: excellent excellent excellent. We have always had well presented and delicious food: oysters al forno and seafood salad ample and tasty; spaghetti cacio e pepe and eggplant parmesan are favorites; spice crusted ahi tuna cooked perfectly and the Chianti braised beef braciole excellent. Pistachio cheesecake and chocolate bonete alla Piedmontese too delicious to not finish.
Our server was helpful and prompt and personable.
An excellent valentine’s dinner
Food: Menu is still solid (shout-out to the Tuscan salad and chicken parm holding down the menu); however, I will always remember having their bread with roasted garlic and sauce since I was a child, but since moving locations the bread service is cut in half. We used to get multiple nice pieces with more than enough sauce and tangy olives to fill up on if we weren’t careful. Now the individual bread slices seem smaller and we felt lucky enough a piece of bread per person. Good luck trying to get more.
Drinks: Cocktails were fair but took too long. Not worth the money.
Service: Bring your pillow so you can nap while waiting for your server. They might have been overwhelmed. Ordered a cocktail when we got there but didn’t get it until after we finished our appetizers while waiting for dinner.
Atmosphere: Looks great from the outside but it is way too crowded indoors. It’s loud and with so many pockets and corners that it’s begging your server to forget about you. Haven’t tried the bar but it looked fun.
