The food was outstanding. The octopus carpaccio set the tone right from the start, delicate, bright, and soooo good. Totally unexpected to be as good as it was. The burratina was silky and aromatic, paired perfectly with the thinly sliced prosciutto. And the tableside cacio e pepe was an absolute show stopper.
But as good as the food was, it was Roberto who made the experience unforgettable. Even with a full house, his service was attentive, warm, and effortless. We never felt unattended, he seemed to anticipate everything before we even asked. Greatly recommend. Salvo has brought back to this locale the great restaurant experience missed since the days of Galanga.

First time here since it opened. Read some reviews that were negative which ranged from the food, service and atmosphere. Take any of those comments/reviews with a grain of salt! The interior design is streamlined but welcoming and warm. The service is excellent, Sonny our server was friendly and professional, great knowledge on the food. The wine selection is varied and very good selections, the food was excellent, delicious and substantial. The dessert was delicious, we had the mango pie, it had a fantastic flavor with a berry ganache and mango bits that made it heavenly. Loved this place and it is definitely a return visit, very happy with the experience!

Salvos Osteria Romana is located in Wilton Manors. Compliments of some dear friends, we were treated to a warm, authentic, Italian evening. Owner Salvo hails from Sicily, Chef Giancarlo from Naples and Julio from Rome. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt like extended family. Those are the connections that keep us wanting to come back. The food is without a doubt some of the best that we’ve had. Cacio Pepe was made tableside in a cheese wheel and tasted every bit as good as it looks. Tomato Stewed Octopus was rustic & succulent. The burrata was house made creaminess atop the freshest of prosciutto. All pastas are made in house. Tagliatelle Bolognese was mouth watering hearty. Salmon and veggies were delightfully light . The pesto gnocchi were little pillows of heaven. The Veal Marsala was just the right amount of sweet and savory fork tender goodness. Topping it all off was the vibrant panna cotta. Salvo saluted us with limoncello. For only 4 months, they have the nailed-it WOW factor and are a valued addition to the area.

I lived in Rome for about twenty years, in the Trastevere area, which is a neighborhood filled with the classic Roman osterie. I still carry those flavors, those memories, those unforgettable atmospheres with me especially in December, when every light would bathe the city in that warm orange glow, just like Rome’s beautiful sky.
So for me, a Roman osteria is Rome. It’s not just a matter of taste; it’s the taste of memory.
Because of that, how could I resist the temptation to walk into this Salvo Roman osteria, even if it’s set in a landscape that has nothing to do with Rome?
Well, I did give in, and I went with four friends and I have to say, the memories came rushing back. I tasted a cacio e pepe almost identical to the one I used to eat at Augustarello in Trastevere, fritto di calamari, and fish carbonara, my friends had risotto, fettuccine, lobster and everything was excellent. So whenever nostalgia hits me, I will come back to this restaurant.
Inside it’s beautifully designed, the dishes are prepared with great care, and the staff is refined—especially the Italian staff, because Italians are dear to my heart.
And my thanks go especially to Giulio: he’s a guy from Rome as well, who lived there for many years and now works here. Besides being kind, he brought back those unmistakably Roman ways warm, open, familiar that make you feel at home.
For me, this place is incredibly important.
The food is absolutely excellent.
Anyone who has been to Rome or lived in Rome needs to try it to believe it. And for those who haven’t lived in Rome or been to Italy, this is a wonderful chance to understand, and get a small preview of what Rome will offer you when you finally go.

Like other reviewers say: it is a great place it’s a beautiful atmosphere, from the items that we order one need to be improved. It’s OK when the pasta is al dente but when it’s too undercooked is not pleasant to eat. Reviews are made to improve the restaurant not to destroy it and make it close. Hopefully, they read the reviews and take advice to be better. Because it’s very expensive food!
The service is really good. That’s all I can say.

The restaurant made a very good impression. The service was of a high standard: attentive staff, competent management, and a professional approach. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.
There are a few comments regarding the kitchen: the tuna would benefit from an additional sauce to enhance its flavor, and the risotto could use some refinement in terms of seasoning — it lacked depth. Overall, a respectable place with the potential to become a strong culinary destination. Thank you for the evening.

A new Italian restaurant in Wilton Manors that opened in the location of the former Thai Me Up. The food is delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, friendly service, and large portions (we couldn’t even make it to the mains and got full just on the appetizers). We will definitely come back to try their pasta and main dishes!

One of those places you discover once and never forget. Amazing wine, incredible food — easily some of the best Italian I’ve had.

Huge thanks to my dear friend and bartender Lori!
She put me onto this spot, and honestly, I’d follow her recommendations anywhere.

Great vibes at the bar, easy conversations, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay. Already on my favorite list — and I’ll definitely be back.
