New places pop up, but don’t sleep on a tried and true place! A 1 time member of the top 50 BBQ joints in Texas according to Texas Monthly, CB’s has never disappointed.
Their brisket is always tender and moist with good flavor. Their sausage has a great crisp bite and is second to none. Today the ribs were off just a bit…but nothing but the bone left anyway.
I will put their sides up against any joint in Texas. Their cheesy potatoes are always a hit and their baked beans are sweet and packed with flavor.
Their bbq sauce is the standard that I judge ALL sauces at the new top joints and not one has compared.

Great find! We were just passing through and looking for lunch. Decided to try this and it was well worth it. Great, juicy BBQ with a nice small town feel. If you’re going through Kingsville, definitely check this place out! PS: the tea is super sweet, just like it should be in South Texas

We ordered the sliced brisket sandwich for $8 & they were very filling, delicious, and worth the price! The sweet tea was very refreshing and excellently sweetened. It was my first time here and the staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel right at home! Overall I had a great first experience and am looking forward to coming again.

The Rich boy sandwich with chopped beef, brisket, and sausage was impeccable. My wife had a half chicken, which literally was a half chicken! Overall, great prices for plenty of food. We will definitely come again! Also, the owner is a great guy and I’d support him any day!

I wasn’t overly impressed with CB’s. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and got a chopped pork sandwich. The consistency of the meat was closer to taco meat than it was to pulled pork The taste wasn’t all that BBQie. There was nothing with the sandwich but meat and a bun two limp onion rings 2 dill chips. My wife got a sausage sandwich. It looked pretty good to me but there wasn’t anything on it other than what came with the chopped pork sandwich. The sausage sandwich looked like it had a fairly good portion. The chopped pork sandwich had about a quarter pound of whatever kind of meat they had. The sauce provided was just okay. Two sandwiches cost $8 each. A glass of iced tea was $2.50. coleslaw and potato salad was $2.75 a cup.$28 for two people for lunch in Kingsville. I think I’ll stop at the Whataburger next time.

Don’t be put off by the exterior! Worth venturing off the highway. The sliced brisket falls apart and melts in your mouth. The potato salad, cole slaw and ribs are also delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by this place.

Food was decent but not great. Service was good, friendly people. Their ribs are a dry rub type, just not my style. The place is getting older, but I like to support mom and pop joints.
