Great cold brew!!! I felt great and so energized after drinking their cold brew coffee. The cafe has local art all over and I walked out with a brand new beautiful painting by Leslie Abraham! I love it so much. I’d definitely return! They have free unlimited wifi too and the food smelled good!

A trip to Java Hutt is more or less part of my daily routine since coming to hazel park. The drinks are great, and the staff are all wonderful. I go just as much for the pleasure of saying hello. It’s cool having a spot right in the neighborhood that feels that way.
Like someone else mentioned here, i give them a call and order ahead which is a neat convenience.
They clearly cultivate a number of regulars like me, and that’s no surprise at all. It’s also a top pick for me as a place to meet and catch up with a friend, & it’s also somewhere I’d feel good going to study for a bit or write something. Great atmosphere. Can’t forget the food is delicious too!
They’ve had little pop up shops come in to sell their art and wares, and they feature art from local artists adorning the walls as decoration and also for sale, too. Really cool

It’s a locally-owned community space where neighbors say good morning to each other while grabbing a hot coffee and a tasty bagel. The atmosphere is great for work or studying, meeting friends, or just having a quick meal on the go. There’s a wide range of coffee options, baked goods, and sandwiches. They’re all good, trust me, we’ve tried them.

What a great place! This local small business is the perfect stop for a drink, a snack, or a meal- or all three! The coffee is FANTASTIC, the food is homemade, the vibe is laid back, plus the location is easy to find and there’s plenty of parking. My barista, Jenny, made me feel very welcome. I can’t wait to go back!

My mom and I met here to hang out and plan an up coming trip. The woman at the counter was beyond sweet and helped us decide what to drink. They have plenty of alternative milks, including many unsweetened options which can be hard to come by at times. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced as were our breakfast sandwiches. Their food is not anything fancy, but it’s solid and they use quality ingredients. Many things come without sauce but they have a couple sauce options if you ask. They also have some local art on the walls for sale which is always a fun local touch for a cafe. There’s also a small area in back with 2-3 small tables that are good if you need a bit more privacy/quiet. We’ll definitely be back!

A community gem. Always clean and friendly. I went for lunch once and got good sandwiches. I went for a take-out breakfast one morning and had a very good vegetarian fake meat breakfast sandwich. They also do green tea at the perfect brewing temperature, which is highly appreciated since many cafes don’t care about tea.

I love this coffee shop. The coffee tastes great, it’s reasonably priced, and there are so many options. It’s always clean.
The barista I always see in the morning (not sure if she’s the owner or not) is always upbeat, helpful, and charming. I think she makes the place what it is!
There are plenty of tables to work from the place for a couple hours or sit and read a book. I think they have a couple tables in the back outside too but I don’t think it’s a full patio at this time.
I know they have plenty of good sounding breakfast options but I’m not much of a morning eater so I haven’t had any yet.
Highly recommend this place! It’s a great stop and easy/fast to get in and out of on your way to work too.
