Was traveling through town and decided to stop for dinner and a drink. I immediately felt so welcomed by the bartender, Audrey. She was incredibly friendly! I loved the older esthetic of the bar. Absolutely gorgeous and I’m glad they kept that piece of history.

This place is about as dive-y as dive bars come. But the bartenders are nice and friendly (and charmingly curmudgeon-like). Karaoke on Saturday nights is always a highlight of the week here in this little town. Typical bar food, fried, but also sometimes surprisingly good (nachos, chicken burger, and bacon pizza are good selections). They do close early if it’s a slow night, so get there before 8:30.

Being a dark haired, dark eyed, solo traveling female (from Portland no less, which makes you an instant punching bag of conservative, small town people in the USA these days) had me a little wary of going into this place, BUT everyone was super friendly! The bartender was really sweet, and I even sang a few karaoke songs and got to pet some sweet doggies. *Check out the 6×20 ft creepy huge spider’s nest a few doors down at the vacant general store (porch ceiling) if you want the heebie jeebies!

Good bar food, good drinks, service with a smile =) charming and eclectic, original saloon decor meets eclectic rural bar, friendly locals. We had a mushroom Swiss burger and fries, chicken strips and tots (good sauces). Tasty beer on tap, including Irish Death and their own Brown Trout Amber from Pyramid; daily drink specials. We were just passing through, but it looks like a great local bar for an extended visit, too.
