One of my new favorite places for Mexican food!
I assume they will be out of business sooner than later. The food is ok but their customer service is comically awful. They’ll blatantly lie to you, and tell you how you ordered wrong,…It’s insane!!!
They also have such lack of ability to run a successful restaurant…they don’t see bad reviews as an opportunity to make it right and improve the next time that customer returns but instead they cry about it. Ratings are live and change based on the most recent visit…it could have gone back up but not it’s locked it. Shame really…I was a regular customer and they continually messed up my order, half the time. They don’t deserve regular customers.
The other 1 star reviews are worth reading too….they’re accurate. They appear to not llike regular customers and that is a recipe for going out of business.
Good riddance.
– large portion
– very tasty and fresh
– very reasonably priced(thank you owners)
– humble staff
– To go packaging was so elegant. I have to mention this cause it was really nice.
Highly recommend.
It’s a lot like Chipotle with the food counter and design and overall aesthetic, but even better. The freshness is absolutely better than Chipotle.
I tried a ton of tacos and a quesabirria. The flour taco’s tortilla is house made, it was great! As for meats, the Al pastor is the show winner for me. It’s unique, properly charred, and has excellent flavor. The asada was my least favorite but still quite excellent, and super beefy tasting. The carnitas was very good, though I’d have asked for a bit more of a fatty portion. Quesabirria was also very very good. They have a handful of other options as well, but nothing super Mexican like tripa.
They have fresh churros, mine was ten minutes old. It was great, especially for the super low fair price it is.
Also I tried the horchata, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was sweet, very cinnamon-y, and was ultra refreshing.
Pricing is just fair. $4 tacos. I’d honestly want them to be bigger and meatier. Consider that $4.50 gets you a SUPER taco from La Victoria that’s enormous, like 3x the size, AND includes sour cream, cheese, and guac for .50 more than here. Most things here seem to be a dollar or two more than a good value I think, but the quality makes up for it.
Cons: even though they serve breakfast burrito they have no hot drinks!
It took a ling time to get our food, breakfast burrito was tasteless and hardly any tomatoes or cheese in the burrito (it was supposed to have them), I asked for some jalapeños either in the burrito or on the side but I didn’t get any.
