Tokyo Bay is this adorable gem of a Japanese café-meets-general store, that I’ve now visited twice, and it’s definitely got a special vibe. You walk in and it feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy little corner of Tokyo, part café, part mini-store, and definitely not something you find on every street.

The food is genuinely delicious. I tried the chicken karaage which was crispy and flavourful, the veggie gyozas were perfectly fried, and their corndogs were good, though I’m crossing my fingers for a sausage version in the future. If you’re a matcha fan, theirs is definitely worth a try!

It’s a bit on the pricier side, so expect to spend a bit more than you would at a standard café. And seating can be a bit of a squeeze, especially during peak times, so maybe plan accordingly.

Overall, though, Tokyo Bay is a charming little spot that’s perfect for when you’re craving something different and authentically Japanese. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood to treat yourself!

No exaggeration; the best Japanese/Asian restaurant/cafe in MK with super friendly owners. Food and drinks menu looks amazing. Everything freshly cooked to order, place look pristine clean. Decorations are cute and unique. They also have a good sized shopping area full of Asian goodies. Best part is I have been given handsome human Jer Lau’s photocards. ☺️ They fed me and also fed my soul with that. I am definitely going back.

First time trying Tokyo bay after seeing it on Tiktok a few times. The Place was smaller than I thought but we came here for the drinks and food and it was so good. Matcha was great and both prawn and Chicken katsu was served hot and fresh.

Found this place by seeing a post on tikitok. Came twice before just to look in the shop but the 3rd time we came we tried the food. I had the mixed rice bowl which had gyozas, pumpkin croquettes, chicken karaage and tempura prawns. I chose the yakiniku sauce on top. It was delicious. My partner had the chicken karaage rice bowl with Japanese curry sauce. All the food was piping hot and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and not dry. My partner also had s katsu bun.. it was beautiful.. a game changer. Banging food!! 100% recommend. Will be back again soon

I didn’t know this store existed until I saw a post in TikTok so we gave it a try, It was a cute little store with Japanese stuff and treats, it feels like I was in Japan. The staff were friendly and the vibe was lovely. We love the foods as well especially their matcha drinks, I wish the siumai is tradional though but still enjoyed it. We will visit again because we want to try the tofu cheesecake which was unfortunately unavailable that time we visit. Arigatou Gozaimasu

I cannot express how amazing the staff are here! Run by a lovely two person team who want to emulate the taste of Japan here, they are so kind and care so much about their customers.

I had the matcha latte and the Mix Bowl with yakiniku sauce and it was a hug in a bowl, it was hot, fresh and well seasoned. The matcha was creamy and sweet.

The staff truly went above and beyond, and I absolutely will be back

Amazing little gem in Oxley park!
I haven’t tried their takeaways yet but I shop there regularly and treat myself with coffees every now and then.
Coffees are consistently good. Perhaps could be a wee bit stronger but its a personal preference. I do like my coffees double shot as minimum.
Groceries are of very good quality. If you like Japanese cuisine, then you’ll find choice at Tokyo Bay is very decent. I bought gyozas, fish cakes, udon noodles on a multiple occasions and was always happy with the quality and flavor.
In a nutshell, you won’t be dissapointed!
