My wife and I had a very pleasant date night here.

Stepping into the cozy setting was satisfying with the frigid winter night.

We ordered the bread and butter with crispy chicken skin chips, the bison skirt steak and the roasted bone marrow with toast. All was so well presented and prepared.

Dessert did not disappointment with a Swiss roll with cream.

We will gladly return as the owners very frequently rotate the menu. (I overheard one of the owners mention she was adding some kind of cinnamon roll dessert which sounds like Heaven.)

Service was very pleasant and attentive.

Hugely recommend. You pay for the quality.

Rotating menu, locally-sourced food and drink, this has become not only my favorite restaurant in New England, but my favorite restaurant full-stop. I was such a picky eater my entire life so I was super intimidated by the menu at first. I played it safe and ordered Italian grinder sliders. They were so incredible that I came out of picky-food shell and ordered a little outside my comfort zone the next time, a seared tuna steak, and even more after that. This place turned me into an adventurous eater because everything that comes out of the kitchen can be counted on to be absolutely top-tier. The plates are tapas-style, so don’t expect a huge portion of sub-par food, these are smaller plates that are 110% worth your while, and filling. The rotating menu means that every time I come back feels like a new experience, with the reliability of quality – you may never know what you’ll order next, but you can count on it to be delicious, even if you never would have ordered it elsewhere. Especially great on the menu right now are the oxtail sliders – tender meat on a cheese and chive biscuit with spicy jam and grilled pineapple. The flavors are out of this world and carefully constructed, complemented by local soda, Yacht Club, that’s much more real and fresh than I’ve found in the canned regular colas or soda spouts. When my foodie friends are in town, I bring them here, and count it as one of Rhode Island’s best offerings of anything. It’s a true taste of the community and a testament to the artistry of the kitchen. I hope folks realize what they have here in a place that’s still open when you get home from work or after an evening out, reliably fresh and quality, and feels upscale without a dress code more demanding than a t-shirt. I try to eat here once a month, just to try the next amazing dish.

Pictured: Italian grinder sliders, a spin on bagel and lox (tuna, cucumber, capers, everything bagel chips), seared tuna steak (sushi-grade, so it has that beautiful color of fresh tuna between the sear), I believe a peach dish with ice cream that came out so warm and was eaten so fast I hardly remember what it was, and the most incredible Sweet Potato Mousse with local maple syrup, spiced cookie crumble, and Chantilly cream.

Great wife and husband run restaurant with lots of charm, character and delicious food. We stopped in on a road trip and were amazed by the interesting dishes and flavor pairings. It is in a more industrial part of town, not where you would expect a cool place like this, but means there is lots of on street parking.

The food was amazing, the mussels were the big hit, the staff super friendly, we will def come back if we are in the neighborhood.

We never thought we’d find this level of quality in Pawtucket, but we’re so glad we did. We were in the area with a few hours to kill and decided to give Hangry Kitchen a try—thank God we did. What we didn’t realize at first is that it’s a true farm-to-table restaurant, and it absolutely shows.
The food was outstanding—fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and packed with flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive, perfectly balanced and delicious. From start to finish, everything was fantastic.
As picky eaters, this means a lot to us, and Hangry Kitchen easily earns five stars. It’s so good that we’ll now make it a point to travel outside our normal area just to come back. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back often.

First time here. Owner was super great and snuck me in at the bar despite being busy. Had the pot pie. Delish. It gave all the flavors without it feeling heavy. And super reasonable on the pricing.

I really didn’t want to leave a bad review because I was excited to try this place, the menu looked fun and creative, but I have to be honest: I was really disappointed, especially considering I spent nearly $40 on takeout.

The staff at the bar were kind and welcoming when I picked up my order, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t live up to expectations.

I ordered the oxtail sliders, which turned out to be more like tiny bites than actual sliders. They had an odd chunk of what seemed like canned pineapple inside, more pineapple than meat, honestly. Also the tiny bun which seemed to be maybe a biscuit texture was extremely hard . To top that off ,everything was tossed around in the container, not even resembling sliders. I only drove a short distance, so I don’t think that was due to transit.

I also tried the cornbread dumplings. They were more enjoyable than the sliders, but still missed the mark. They were sitting in a vegetable-style medley and were very soggy at the bottom. I’m not sure if that’s how they’re supposed to be, but it wasn’t a texture I enjoyed.

I told the bartender I’d come back and dine in next time, thinking this meal would be great, but sadly, I won’t be returning. I was really looking forward to this meal, but I’m left feeling disappointed, unsatisfied, and ironically very “hangry”, especially after spending that much money.

Absolutely delicious! The food is small plates/tapas style, which is great because you get to try multiple dishes. The staff were all extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and very attentive. Their menu changes regularly, but we had the eggplant + mole sauce, beets, sweet potato wedges + garlic aioli, jerk mushrooms + the most delicious dipping sauce, and the chicken pot pie johnny cakes. We couldn’t pick a favorite because every dish was amazing. The food is so unique and prepared with such attention to detail. I can’t wait to go back!

I want to say I had such lovely service, beyond lovely, and you can see the food and drinks are thoughtful, and well loved- however the plates are TINY and it does not say that anywhere on the website, or on the menu, or the IG. You only find this out once you start reading review’s.
The Menu has fancy names to divide its options and even fancier words like eclipsed delights, but it lacks the practicality of telling you what those things are really going to be.
I appreciate the art of it all , but if I am meant to spend $300 dollars on upscale pickies why am sitting on a tiny, uncomfortable, cold, metal chair and walking through the kitchen to the bathroom? Obviously you will tell me it is the location, but I am telling you that it is an off putting kind of thing in a place I am spending $300 dollars for a four top at. The entire night felt like a fine dining menu out of a Gastro Pub.
Hearing the name Hangry Kitchen you might expect to be fed heartily but that is not the case. Honestly I got takeout from somewhere else on the way home because the seven bites over four split dishes was not the answer for dinner. The best part was dessert which was the size you would expect.
If you have an adventurous foodie in your life you should give this place a try, but I cannot tell you I am lining up to go back.
It is beautiful to see a real restaurant out in the wild and I again cannot say enough about the service ,you can feel how special the place is to them and I loved that, but what even is an eclipsed delight and why is there a flower head on my grilled cheese if I cannot eat it? These perceived fancy aspects would be better spent transforming the dining room. You can make a place feel like you can be casually dressed and still have deep, luxurious, upscale amenities that make folks want to sit and spend money.

The portions are really small bc tapas so I wouldn’t say the most worth it for price but very very unique dishes and locally sourced. Great vibes. The crab was the best dish for sure! Free matcha meringues! Wonderful service

Small space, small plates. Big bold, beautiful flavors… pairings were wild and we loved em. Surprised by so many combinations that delightful came together even as my brain struggled to allow them to.

Can’t wait to go back as we heard the menu is changed weekly and the veggies are plentiful in the summer as locally sourced.
