This place was pretty good as far as some of these restaurants go in San Francisco area. The food’s kind of high quality for the type of restaurant and the service is great. The hamburgers are a little bit small which I didn’t really like. But overall it’s better than most of the crap you get around that area.

Fast food is not my idea of food. I find nothing appealing in it. I like making own food, but sometimes I go for it occasionally. And that’s when I don’t feel like cooking or when we go out for the day.
The menu of that restaurant is basically about all things I’ve tried before at different places ( Spicy crispy chicken, Chicken Philly sandwich, Onion rings, Cheese sticks ..etc). So there was an expectation of what I’m getting. The food was served hot and fresh and the taste was totally different from the same type of food I’ve tried before at different restaurants.
The place inside & out is spacious, clean and bright. Price is very inexpensive and everyone was super friendly with a good attitude.

We stopped here while on a trip from Nebraska. We had been in the car all day and we were starving and looking for a place to eat. We stopped here and it was so freaking good! Handmade and large portions. It definitely hit the spot and Ali, our server, was so polite and patient. He was professional and super friendly. Great place to eat!!

Came in while waiting for a friend. Food was phenomenal for the price. Fresh and delicious. Fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Burger was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely be back!

Cheesesteak wasnt great. Service was very poor. The cashier just stared at me blankly after I said hello, asked about their day and ordered. They kept questioning to confirm what I ordered and when I said thank you they continued their blank stare. However, they were perfectly nice to the next people that ordered, greeting them, etc. Very odd.

I got the chopped cheese and it was delicious. The hoagie roll was griddled on the inside but the outside remained soft, so the bite is really lovely. Marty’s uses fresh beef and you can tell- I really enjoyed this sandwich and felt it was a generous size for a decent price. It isn’t the most beautiful sandwich, but it’s so tasty that’s not what you’ll remember. The crinkle cut fries are also quite satisfying and salted well. I’ll definitely be returning for these two items but also to try more of the menu items. Note that they have some burgers and combos beginning at $5 and that sort of wallet friendly pricing is alluring. I imagine Kaiser employees are fans.
Inside is scrupulously clean! I’ve become a real fan of this little gem in downtown Richmond.
6/15/25 Another immaculate chopped cheese delivered. The sandwich is prepped so that it doesn’t at all fall apart and they have a lock on bun prep! It tastes like it was just made. The sandwich is the perfect size, (cut on the diagonal) for a late afternoon snack for two with medium fries.

I visited for lunch today (a Wednesday) and I think they’re still working out some of their operational kinks. I went inside to place a takeout order (rather than the drive-thru) and I was there for ~25 minutes. It took ~9 minutes for four people in front of me and then me to place an order, and then I waited a further ~16 minutes for my food to come out.
And they forgot my french fries, which I only realized upon getting home. Yes, my fault for not checking the order before I left.
The food itself was pretty good though: The crispy chicken sandwich was tasty with the slaw and pickle, although I wish the chicken was a bit larger to fill out the bun. The sweet king sandwich was delectable, with perhaps just a tad more mayo than I’d prefer. And the potato wedges were hot and fresh and well-seasoned.
Pricing was completely fair and everyone was super friendly and with a good attitude!
Despite the small issues, I’ll definitely be back to try more items off the menu and support a local small business. I look forward to updating this review to 5 stars in the future!
