Super fresh pasta! You can actually watch the chef making it right at the entrance, which makes the experience even more special. The truffle dishes come with fresh truffle shaved on top, and every bite is full of authentic flavor. The food is simply amazing, true original Italian cooking. The restaurant is small and cozy, with outstanding service that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A real hidden gem!! I’ll definitely be going back!

From the moment I walked into Merli restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The friendly staff created the perfect Italian dining experience. The homemade tagliatelle with truffle cream was simply divine, rich , and full of authentic flavor. The tiramisu is the best I have had outside of Italy and the wine pairing was spot-on.

First the server was rude. He acted like he didn’t want to be there and I was wasting his time. I brushed it off as it had been a long flight and I just needed to unwind. I ordered a glass of wine that came to maybe 3ounces. I was starting to get ruffled. Another server approached me. I told her I was sorry as I must have offended the waiter somehow as he was extremely stand offish. She just looked at me, said nothing except to ask if I was ready to order. At this point I should have walked out due to the bad service. By the time my food came out, my wine glass was empty. Never asked if I wanted more. I waited for someone to acknowledge me. Not happening. I was starving so I cut into my first cutlet and it was fine. However, The second piece was not thoroughly cooked. I don’t do slightly pink chicken. I finally got a servers attention. I showed her the chicken. She just looked at me with ah blank stare. At this point I’m thinking this must be a joke. But it wasn’t. I stopped eating. She came back with my check. I told her I wanted another glass of wine but guess not. What makes it even worse than bad service, raw chicken was they included a 15% tip. What a pathetic establishment. I could have eaten at several other restaurants but chose them. Poor choice. They need a reality check because if it wasn’t for customers, they’d be out of business. And they should be because it was not one, but two bad servers.

Small and intimate place (3 tables for 4 inside plus 1 table for 6) with excellent food. We started with the house focaccia and bread, olive oil, and balsamic. Yum. I had the fettuccine bolognese and the pasta was fresh-made, light and the bolognese rich and flavorful. My wife had the lasagna and it was an ample portion full of ricotta, light layers of homemade pasta, and an outstanding bolognese sauce (seemed more ground beef based versus my pork rich version). Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service was very good but not over the top and they let you “dine” at your pace. Overall we would return if in the area again.
